Mas Peirot is a ‘Mas’ (old Spanish country house) located in a 70 hectares estate on the border of the Barcelona and Tarragona provinces and 2 kilometers, as the crow flies, from the sea. It is 45 kilometers south of Barcelona on the Costa Dorada and is easily accessed by motorway (C-31 and C-32) or by train from Barcelona Sants train station to either Cubellas or Cunit. Both towns are close to Mas Peirot. The closest airport is Barcelona ‘El Prat’ where car rentals and taxis are available to take you to Mas Peirot. Directions how to get there…
The house, originally built in the early 19thcentury, was bought in 1959 by the owning family and lovingly restored combining modern living with traditional workmanship. It offers five twin bedded rooms, one four bedded room (all bedrooms are air-conditioned), four full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room and a very large sitting room. It also boasts a very large cellar with large oak wine barrels, where a large table can sit close to 20 guests in a unique setting. The house is perfect for large families with children or various friends wishing to spend ‘quality time’ within a secluded and peaceful environment. Free wifi and flat screen TV’s come as part of the package.
The estate also provides its guests with 12 hectares of vineyards, numerous walking trails under pine trees, a 12x6m swimming pool with a ‘pergola’ allowing for lunch and dinners ‘al fresco’, a tennis court and a ‘fronton’. Mas Peirot also has a living-in couple (near the main house) who are there for assistance if required.
Mas Peirot is ideally situated for those who enjoy culture, sports, night life and children entertainment:
Culture: Barcelona is one of the most visited cities in the world and boasts a unique climate with world-wide known cultural sites such as the ‘Sagrada Familia’ cathedral, the ‘Ramblas’, the Gaudi buildings (Casa Batllo, La Pedrera, Parque Guell) and the old town (barrio gotico). Barcelona also offers a unique gastronomic experience. 'Tapas' bars and restaurants can be found throughout the city, but especially in ‘Sarria’ and ‘Gracia’, two very typical Barcelona ‘barrios’. Shopping on the ‘Paseo de Gracia’ is also ‘a must’ to live the enjoyment of this beautiful city.
Sports: water sports and beaches dot the Costa Dorada, but especially in Sitges (20 kms away), where numerous restaurants line the sea front. Golf courses in Barcelona, Sitges and within 30 mins of Mas Peirot are also easily accessible for those wishing to visit new golf courses: Real Club de Golf El Prat (Barcelona), Club de Golf de San Cugat (Sant Cugat, near Barcelona), Club de Golf Terramar (Sitges), Club de Golf Bonmont (Tarragona), Club de Golf La Graiera (Calafell) etc…
Children entertainment: Port Aventura is a theme park 30 minutes south of Mas Peirot (near Tarragona, another beautiful roman city) and a ‘must visit’ for children (and adults) for a full day of unlimited fun. For car lovers, don’t miss Ferrari Land, a new themed zone based on the world of F1 and Ferrari.
