The first floor apartment comprises a large lounge/dining area complete with sofa bed and armchair, LCD Flat Screen TV with EnglishTV and a DVD player, Dining Table and 6 chairs. Apartment WiFi is also available enabling you to keep in touch with home.There is a separate kitchen with oven, hob, microwave & fridge. There are two bedrooms and a four piece bathroom and all rooms have ceiling fans. Outside there is a balcony with table & chairs overlooking the large pool area which is for residents use only.

Air Conditioning is supplied to all rooms providing both heating and cooling.

We are a family of four who wanted somewhere in the sun that we could enjoy, that wasn't too far away from an airport and felt like home away from home.

Why Graham and Claire Pycroft chose Cartagena - Mar Menor

We first started the hunt for a home in the sun back in 2004 and after doing the usual property tours we came across a resort we knew little about...Los Alcazares.

It had all the the qualities that we were looking for in a holiday location.

We wanted to be able to get around without the need to hire a car, knowing that all the local amenities are only a five minute walk away.

Just as important to us was access to a blue flag beach with seas that gently slope away making it safe for young children and grown-ups alike.

We also wanted something modern, clean and bright, that gave us all the comforts of home, not just the standard 'furniture pack' pine, but still enabled us to enjoy the Spanish lifestyle and all that it offers.

What makes this apartment unique

We visited many properties up and down the coast but was always drawn back to the Mar Manor area. Once we knew the area then we concentrated on the right place.

We chose Los Alcazares because of its accessibility to the airport, 10 minutes from the airport to the apartment, the 7km long sandy beach and the fact that this is primarily a Spanish resort which still retains its festivals throughout the year. The resort has an abundance of restaurants, all local and numerous tapas bars line the beach should you wish to eat there.

The apartment overlooks the pool and the balcony is the ideal place for topping up the tan.

  • The fully fitted bathroom comes complete with shower/bath, toilet, sink and bidet. There is a large mirror and plenty of storage readily available.

  • Both bedrooms have large fitted wardrobes with clothes hanging & shelf space. There are also additional bedside cabinets. In Bedroom 2 there is a wall mounted colour TV for use with a PS2 (supplied) which also doubles up as a DVD player. There is a large comfortable double sofa bed in the lounge. All bed linen and towels, except beach towels, are provided.

The apartment comes fully equipped with ample glassware, crockery & cutlery provided. A cool bag & picnic set is also provided to make full use of dining at the magnificent beach. The Kitchen comes fully equipped & also includes an iron & ironing board. The large lounge dining area provides ample space to relax & comes equipped with 6 place dining suite .British TV(ITV, BBC etc) is provided as is a DVD player & CD Radio. A further wall mounted TV & PS2 is located in bedroom 2. Outside overlooking the large pool area for exclusive use by residents only, is a patio area with wooden reclining dining chairs & table. A barbecue is also provided for al fresco dining on balmy evenings. A guest manual is provided which gives details of places to see, restaurants & bars to visit. The apartment will be cleaned before your arrival & all bed linen & towels are freshly laundered. There is secure underground parking & intercom entry system. Airport transfers can be arranged in advance

"Bolthole in the Sun

We have recently returned from an autumn break in Los Alcazares. It was the first time we have travelled to this area of Spain and it won't be our last. If you are looking for a comfortable place to "chill out" then we can highly recommend this apartment which is in a quiet and well maintained complex. The apartment is well equipt (unlike many apartments we have stayed in), very comfortable and overlooks the pool area. It is only a short walk (about 5 minutes) to the square where you can find a large supermarket and an array of shops, bars and restaurants. (We can recommend El Patio and La Diva.) The beach area is a further 5 minutes walk and there is numerous beach bars along a lovely promenade - great for an afternoon/evening stroll. The beach itself is very clean, (certainly not crowded when we were there). The Mar Menor is great for children and very safe to paddle and swim in. A 20 minute walk along the prom will take you into the old town of Los Alcazares. Local transport appears quite reliable and buses go to Cartagena and Murcia which are both well worth seeing. Stuart looks after the apartment for Graham and Claire and is very helpful. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful break away then we can highly recommend this apartment and resort.

From the long sandy beach to the wide variety of restaurants which are perfect after a hard days chilling out. If you do prefer a night in then the apartment has been equipped to provide a home from home experience.

Luxury is the correct word

This apartment is the best equipped that we have ever stayed in. Security.. wow..4 lever lock door to the apartment, locks on main door and locks on main gates. We really felt safe. Graham & Claire were staying the week before us and left us some basic provisions and a bottle of wine (most gratefully received) It really is just a short walk to the main square where you will find a Mercadona supermarket, plenty of bars and restaurants and everything to make a holiday a pleasure. Inside the Hotel 525 lobby you will find "the post room" where you can rent a computer to print boarding cards. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Most welcome relaxing Feb break in the sun! 5 Star Apartment lovely complex

This was our 1st time visiting this part of Southern Spain for my husband and I and we loved Los Alcazares Graham and Claire have a most welcoming home from home apartment with every little detail catered for I especially loved to cozy up at night with the lovely quality blankets stored in the twin bedroom and watched movies. We arrived late on our arrival and a big thank you to Ann who came to collect us from the airport which is only 5 mins away, and thank you Graham and Claire for the welcome bottle of wine after our journey which was most welcome. We had lovely weather for Feb and enjoyed long walks along the shores of the Mar Menor with its palm tree lined promanade we loved to stop at the waters edge cafes and have coffee and croissants. The apartment is well situated in a well maintained complex over looking the beautiful pool area, and just 5 minutes walk to the square where you can find some brilliant restaraunts, bars, and boutique shops also with a large quality supermarket.

Then a further 5 minutes you can be on the beach and promanade.

We hope to visit Los Alcazares again in the future and stay in the apartment again and we will definatly recommend to family and friends.

Lost in Spain...found in Los Alcazares!!!!! Wicked location, clean and spacious accommodation. Excellent base to explore Mar Menor. Plenty of things to see and do. Excellent connection with owner. Defo...one to repeat.

Los Alcazares is just 5 mins drive from Murcia Airport. This newly built apartment is situated approximately 10 mins walk from the 7km long sandy beach situated on the Mar Menor a large shallow salt water lagoon, ideal for children, separated from the Mediterranean by a strip of land called La Manga. The Mar Menor is popular for all types of water sports & bathers alike. The promenade is lined with Tapas bars to give a real Spanish atmosphere. It is a 5 minute stroll to the excellent Mercadona supermarket which is located in the new Baliniero square, which is home to a new 5 star hotel & numerous bars & restaurants. There are several golf courses all located within a 15 min drive from Los Alcazares. The city of Murcia with its magnificent cathedral & numerous department stores is well worth a visit as is the historic city of Cartagenga with its famous historic Roman sites & magnificent Harbour. The region of Murcia has an average of 320 days sunshine a year.
