Paris 6th. Saint-Germain metro station, Dragon Street. Very touristic district. 2 persons studio, 18 m2, clear and quiet, South exposure, at the 1st floor facing vast yard, new. Equipped kitchen with refrigerator, washing machine, numerous storages. Keeper, digital access code. Internet, television, telephone. From March 2011 to February 2012: 550 Euro per week, including charges. Near shops, cinemas and restaurants.
I stayed in the studio for 12 days in October. The location is great. The owner is very nice. The only problem I had was noise at night. The room opens to a courtyard ( with an inch gap in the door providing no sound insulation) with 5-6 doors for other residents and entry doors that keep banging all night as the residents come in and out to smoke in the courtyard. After a couple of nights of a neighbor partying until 3 am, I finally gave up and having paid cash, left my stuff and checked into a hotel.
This little studio is in the absolutely best location. Quiet, clean and completely stocked with all essentials. The lady who greets you is so nice and helpful and will direct you to the nearest, huge grocery (alimentaires) store on Rue de Rennes, a 5-minute walk (take your own plastic shopping bags or be charged small amount for theirs). Apartment is steps from Hemingway-frequented brasseries, as well as movie-houses and all sorts of fine shopping stores on Blvd St. Germain. Taxi stand at corner of street to the right on the Blvd., as well as buses and metros, all handy on the Blvd. An easy slow stroll to the Seine and the Pont des Arts. The apartment is small for two people, but adequate. Bathroom is tiny, so one must dress in the main room. Overall, a fine little base for seeing lovely Paris!
Our three-week stay in the apartment at 26 rue du Dragon was a joy. The apartment is small, but it was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. It was particularly helpful to have a washing machine in the apartment, even though we needed to dry the laundry on a rack (provided). The bed was comfortable, and all the fixtures and the WiFi worked well. The apartment was very quiet and private, well away from the street.
While the apartment itself is excellent, the location is superb. It is a short walk to each of three different Metro stations, with direct access to three different lines. It is also within walking distance of many of the most visited attractions of Paris and many top notch restaurants. And not least, an outstanding bakery is directly across the quiet street! So, if the apartment seemed a bit small at times, it was perfect for our stay in Paris, and just what we had hoped for.
The onsite manager and apt owner were both great. The location is great. Bus, food etc very close by. Everything was as described. Nice and quiet. This is a tiny studio apt typical for Paris.
