About Mrs Sue Townsend
I have lived on the farm all of my life, and have been running a B&B for since 2003. The cottage was built by us in 2007 to provide a lovely place for self catering holidays as an extension of our business.
Mrs Sue Townsend purchased this Cottage in 2007
Why Mrs Sue Townsend chose Maidstone
We are very lucky to live in an exceptionally beautiful area in the heart of Kent (The garden of England), but close enough to London, Canterbury, and the coast.
What makes this Cottage unique
The cottage was designed to be completely accessible to wheelchair users, with no thresholds or steps.

A little gem in Kent
The cottage was very well appointed and my friend was very impressed with the 'hotel quality' linens. A delightful little patio garden was a real sun trap and we enjoyed tea in the afternoon sun despite it being late October. We didn't get to see everything that we wanted to and so would not hesitate to come back again. Mrs Townsend was very obliging and could not have been more friendly.
Beautifully situated holiday cottage, perfect location to get away from it all in lovely countryside. Everything we needed was available there with the added bonus of both bedrooms being en suite. Would highly recommend.
Lovely country cottage
Lovely country cottage, ideally located for us. Well equipped. Will definitely be going back.
Lovely holiday home.
Wonderful little cottage in the middle of the countryside. So quite and peaceful. The cottage has everything you could possibly need, very well equipped. The beds are comfy and the duvet was light for the summer, which is a massive bonus.
Very clean, quiet cottage
Spent long weekend here with my partner and young son. Cottage very clean and well set out. Two good size bedrooms each with its own large wet room which were great. Lovely firm beds too - we slept really well. Good selection of cooking utensils which helps when you are self catering! Pint of milk in the fridge on arrival was very welcome. Easy to find with the sat nav. Lots to do in the local area. Would definitely return.
I am very glad that you enjoyed your stay. It is indeed a very beautiful area, with plenty to do, whatever your age.
Been here before, lovely cottage and lovely location
We have stayed here before, it’s a lovely cosy cottage in a lovely rural setting. Will definitely stay again too
