Situated on the outskirts of the village of Burton Fleming in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds, these fantastic shepherd’s huts each provide warm and cosy accommodation for couples on a working farm. The properties feature their own private hot tub, barbecue, complimentary toiletries, towels and robes – all you need for a fantastic holiday with your other half. There’s an inclusive continental breakfast brought to your front door every morning, or you can opt for the full English breakfast (£10pp), complete with ‘fresh on the day’ free-range eggs, courtesy of the owner’s own chickens. Burton Fleming oozes old-world character and charm; the post office, pub and general store are all within walking distance, so after a chitchat with the locals in the pub, you can enjoy the scenic walk back to the farm hand-in-hand, before toasting marshmallows over the fire pit as you watch the sun set. Characterised by rolling hills and lush greenery, The Yorkshire Wolds are cobwebbed with many fine walks including the Wolds Way; the national trail that stretches some 79 miles from Hessle to Filey. It’s also a paradise for wildlife lovers and birdwatchers – you have but to sit on the steps of your shepherd’s hut in the early hours to spot deer grazing in the field, or hares boxing nearby. The properties are ideally placed for exploring all that Yorkshire has to offer, from the Filey coast and the North York Moors to the historic city of York. Beach 5 miles. Shop and pub ¼ mile, restaurant 4 miles. The properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 6 guests.
