In 18th century estate 'Pignataro' was the official residence of Castaldo who was in charge by the owner of taking care of the goods of his entire Pignataro district. He was also in charge of collecting tax as well as taking care of the justice administration.

The villa is very well located in the middle of many interesting places to visit but also beautiful beaches that you will have to discover. The location is quite but close to Locorotondo and other commodities The outside environment of the villa is wide with rock table to get meals, sofas to get a drink, swimming pool and around and also the garden itself. Inside, the 4 bedrooms are large and beds mattresses were comfortable. The 3 bath rooms are welcome when you are 2 couples with 3 adolescents like us. In the kitchen, a big fridge and a large stove to cook. May be a stable table to prepare the food would be appreciated for the cooker. We enjoyed the region, not too busy, kind local people and beautifull weather. Cherry on the cake, we could see the world championship final (France/Portugal) with the friendly neightbourg, outside on a big 4 to 3m projected screen. Thanks to them also ! Cheers Philippe.

The Puglia region
Crystal blue sea, green countryside, castles, cathedrals, watchtowers that dot the southern coast, noble palaces, historic quarters, smallest towns, museums, and picture galleries. In Puglia you can experience a multitude of emotions. Land of faith and age-old traditions, you can find the feasts of patron saints, local festivals, and suggestive historical re-enactments, artistic creations, natural landscape, safeguarded in many protected areas. Puglia is land of trulli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, aggregated in Alberobello or distributed throughout the countryside of the Valle d’Itria. But Pulia, is a land of flavors and fragrances, with bread, fruits, wine and oil coming from magnificent, centuries-old Apulian olive trees, just steps from the sea.
The Locorotondo area
White Locorotondo is the most beautiful balcony in Murgia dei Trulli. From its belvedere, you can admire territory that at times seems emotional: a mosaic made of small vineyards surrounded by stoned walls, scrubs of Mediterranean forests and silver olive tree gardens that surround the old manor farms, thousands of trullo houses spread in the villages. The small old centre of Locorotondo is closed into its circular perfection of stones and mortars, once upon a time marked by walls. Characteristic peaky roofs made of grey stoned “chiancarelle”, called cummerse, exalt the facades, that inside represent the typical environment of star vaults.
