There are also lovely cafes and bars locally and in Gridelwald and Interlaken. More contemporary eating places are available in Thun. There are great cycle trails and hiking paths for all abilities so why not try the Eiger trail or just a gentle stroll by the river? Or take the bikes up to Mürren and cycle back down to Lauterbrunnen valley with the same breathtaking views. Excellent local produce is available such as cheese and hams and bread. Why not have fun with a Swiss Fondue. The lakes and Interlaken are only 8 miles away and have several lidos and beaches and together with the pool in Lauterbrunnen and the Alpine centre in Mürren, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the water. Great place to stay
We've stayed in the apartment with two teenage kids. The space was more than enough - for sleeping, washing, cooking, eating and relaxing :) The apartment was perfectly clean and well maintained, we had there everything we needed. There is plenty of space to store cloths and belongings. The kitchen is full of utensils. You have two bathrooms which is pretty convenient when returning from hiking :) The view from balcony is beautiful. Getting just out of the door you can see beautiful waterfall lit up every evening. Getting to a train station takes 10+ minutes walking or just 2-3 min by bus - a bus stop is nearby.
David is extremely helpful person easy to contact with whenever you need.
Staying in the Jarvis apt was really great pleasure and we can recommend it for everyone.
Many thanks for your extremely positive and helpful review. Holidays are such an important part of our lives, it gives us great pleasure to know you've enjoyed staying in Lauterbrunnen so much. Certainly you are welcome back any time.

Thank you Nigel for taking the time to write such a positive review. It's a great feeling when guests make return visits and come to love the Lauterbrunnen area as much as we do. You and your family are always welcome to stay again.
Very comfortable and great location
The apartment was very comfortable for the 6 of us. The location is great and very convenient.
The only negative point is a "ticking" noice that is on 24/7 and seems to come from a utility room on the ground floor.
Thank you for taking the time to write a helpful review. I apologise for the ticking noise which is from the chalet boiler. We are at the apartment now and this is new and I agree, annoying. I will cure it this week. You would.be most welcome if you decide to return to Lauterbrunnen
Wonderful property! Great views!
Our family of five absolutely loved staying at this property. It was clean and spacious with nice living areas and bedrooms. The views were stunning and the area was easily walkable. It was only a 10 min. walk to the train station. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We would not hesitate to stay at this property again.
Thank you Jason for such a great review, it's so rewarding to know that our guests love the apartment and the area so much. We never tire of going back, always something new to see or do. You would be very welcome when you decide to return.
Spacious apt with lovely views
Really enjoyed staying here, great location for walks, trains and all the sights of the Jungfrau region.
A perfect base to explore the Jungfrau region all year round, Lauterbrunnen is situated near the most impressive glaciated valley of the Alps. Lauterbrunnen means 'many fountains' and throughout the entire valley, a total of 72 waterfalls cascade from the mountains. There are also the spectacular Trümmelbach waterfalls. These glacier falls (10 in total inside of a mountain) attract many people from all over the world to the mountains from April to November (closed during winter). Lauterbrunnen is the departing point to the more famous, car-free resorts of Wengen and Mürren, as well as the Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe (the highest train station in Europe) and the Schilthorn/Piz Gloria. There are superb train links to Interlaken (45m from Bern, 2 h Basel 2.5h Zurich/ Geneva) so a car is not essential. If travelling by car, good road links to the French motorway network mean a comfortable 9 hours from Calais or Zeebrugge. Eurostar via Paris is also an option.
Other Activities: White water rafting, shooting
Ski: Lauterbrunnen is a great base to explore the Jungfrau Ski Region. There are 45 mountain trains, cable cars, chair and ski lifts, with 213km of pistes for skiers and boarders. Also 100km of winter hiking and X-country paths, and 50km of sledge runs. From the apartment you can take the bus to Lauterbrunnen station in 5 minutes, then train to access skiing above Wengen, or take bus to Schilthorn cable car in 7 minutes to access Mürren skiing .Grindelwald can be reached from Kleine Scheidegg (wonderful views) or drive there in 20 minutes. For the adventurous skier there is the Lauberhorn run above Wengen, or the wonderful 16km long run from the top of the Schilthorn back to Lauterbrunnen, rated as one of the best runs in the world with stunning views, by the Daily Mail Ski and Snowboard magazine. The Sunday Times chose the pistes at Mürren as having some of the best scenery in the world. Excellent English-speaking ski-schools are based in Wengen and Mürren.
