About the property

3 bedroom, 2 bathroom terraced house.Good location for tourist sights

A pretty blue painted, Victorian 3 floor house with sunny patio garden. Double glazed for quiet and with good security . A flight of steps up to the front door, leads into a wood floor hallway and a double reception room with comfortable sofas and arm chairs and TV. An all white interior makes for cool, modern living in this light and sunny space. Walls full of modern art.

Downstairs to a white designer kitchen with stylish 6 seater dining room that leads via French windows into the garden. You can sit and eat al fresco shaded by olive and fig trees in a private paved patio.

Two bedrooms are on the top floor, the third on ground floor.

The main bedroom has two windows looking onto the street with a super king bed , clothes wardrobe space, an armchair, side table and lamps, carpets and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower extension.

The second bedroom is on the half landing looking out onto gardens, with a double bed, side table and armchair, carpets and wardrobe clothes space.

The third bedroom is at the rear of ground floor looking out onto gardens, with a single bed, side table and armchair, rugs and storage.

There is a separate large bathroom with toilet, washbasin and walk-in shower on the top floor.

We love our house because it is in a village-like area with shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants in the next street and others facilities open late and close-by. It’s safe walking about even at night and a friendly, family neighbourhood.

In the next street, Brackenbury Rd there is: a butcher, local food and newspaper and wine shop, delicatessen, restaurant/brasserie, home supplies store , hairdresser and laundry- plus pub round the corner and an art gallery! Three streets away is Hammersmith Grove with The Grove bar and restaurant, Brackenbury Wine Rooms Restaurant and Deli, Italian ice cream parlour, 2 food shops and beauty salon. Great gastro pubs no more than 5-ten minutes walk: The Anglesea Arms, Dartmouth Castle and Andover Arms- gastro pubs.

Our two local delis serve breakfast, with fresh french bread, great coffee, pastries and salads and light snacks- so you don't have to cook if you don't want to if you've had a long day of sight-seeing. Supermarket, banks, many restaurants and main shops are all at Hammersmith on the main King St, near the tube station- 8 minutes walk away. Clothes shops include:Marks&Spencer, Primark, TKMaxx and H&M. The big Westfield shopping mall is a 15 minute walk away. Portobello Market for antiques and clothes is a short tube ride away. From nearby you can take a bus straight to Oxford St (no 94) ,to Piccadilly and Westminster. Or a tube- we have 4 tube lines.

So there is everything you need for a great London stay- all within easy reach. the best thing is that at the end of a day you can come home to a lovely quiet restful place- our house!

Wonderful Stay!

  • 5 of 5

The house is spotless clean, spacious, beautiful, stylish and cosy. Kitchen fully eqquipped. Shower pressure is good. We had a wonderful stay in this house and London. Location is great, 8 minutes to Hammersmith tube station and near Westfields, a huge shopping center-from luxury to high street fashion brands and a big waitrose. The host is very friendly and always respond our questions promptly. Easy and clear instrution for check in. The only thing to complain is that your Photos do not justify the beauty of this house! Do not hesitate to book it!

'Blue Heaven' - home from home!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful place to stay when visiting London. Just so easy to get to from Heathrow by tube, and still in zone 2. We were a family of five, and had plenty of room. Everything is clean, in working order and the linen is cotton, a plus in my book. A quiet street, but only a short walk to the tube station. Thanks for making our London visit just so much more enjoyable, by knowing we could come 'home" to Blue Heaven.

Great Family House

  • 5 of 5

We were visiting from USA to London for our first visit there. It was my parents along with my wife and I and our 10 year old son; plenty of room for all when you needed some time away from each other.

The hosts went above and beyond to help make our trip the best it could be.

Nice property for family of 5

  • 4 of 5

Our family of five enjoyed staying in this house in Hammersmith. This property is about a 10 minute walk to the Hammersmith tube, which was very convenient. It was about a 20 minute tube ride into Westminster, and a little longer for other parts of London.

The house had a comfortable living room area, and three good size bedrooms. The kitchen, which was isolated on the ground floor, seemed well stocked, but we did not use it. The kitchen did have a washer and dryer which were very useful.

The master bedroom had an ensuite bathroom with a queen size bed. The second floor bedroom has a double bed, which was a bit small for my 12 year old and 15 year old daughters to share, although it was manageable. If you have two smaller children, they can easily share this bed. The first floor bedroom had one single bed which my 18 year old son enjoyed.

The neighborhood is very quiet and seemed mostly residential. There were other rentals in the area, but I could not tell who was who for the most part. I was unsure if the area had a crime problem or not, but the windows all had key locks and there was a locked gate across the courtyard area. This may simply be because it is in the city of London and it may be perfectly normal, but it was more extensive than I would have expected.

We all had a great time in London and will always have fond memories of our trip and our stay in Hammersmith.

Owner's Response: We are glad you enjoyed your stay and found the house and neighbourhood to your liking. We're glad you enjoyed your stay. Just to clarify about the beds because we know people like big beds:the master bedroom has a UK Superking bed (6'6" x 6'6"), the second double is a 4'6". About the layout of our downstairs: the kitchen is not 'isolated' as it leads into the dining room and is a nice place to prepare meals while people are at the dining table- and the dining room area leads into our garden. With regard to security, we're glad you felt safe and It is standard in London as in all large cities to have locks on doors and secured windows. The crime rate in our neighbourhood is low, it is a desirable area to live which is reflected in the house prices. We like it because you can walk to shops, restaurants and cafes easily and everyone is friendly. Regards Vivien and Doug

Charming, comfortable and convenient

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time during our visit to London with our two teenagers and staying here just added to the experience. It was so nice to return after a long day of walking and sightseeing. The kids each had their own comfortable rooms. We ate dinner at the neighborhood restaurants recommended by the hosts and loved every one of them. The house is in a quiet neighborhood that felt very safe and was a short walk to the train and access to the rest of London. We'd definitely stay here again!

The best place to stay in London!

  • 5 of 5

This house is in the perfect location in relation to the airport and downtown. The tube close and easy to use with access to many restaurants and stores. The neighborhood was quiet and I I felt comfortable walking home at night and early morning.

The house itself was well kept with all the amenities you need. The owners are absolutely splendid and I was glad to meet Doug (one of the owners) whilst there.

I feel like I got a true London experience and would certainly stay there again when I visit. My in-laws and husband were all blown away by how well the house works for a family.
