About Gaia Baglioni
I love my city (Firenze) and I love to travel and explore exotic and distant locations all over the world, meet diverse people and get to know their culture, customs and beliefs. I love to learn about other people's ways of life and their traditions and share mine with them so we can both learn from each other and better understand the world we live in.

Gaia's flat was perfect for our stay in Florence & she was a most gracious host! Check in was a breeze & she gave us some great recommendations of places to eat and others points of interest to explore. The flat was well supplied and in a great location to see all of the beauty that the city has to offer. Having a roof top balcony with a view of the surrounding hills & Duomo was an added bonus. Such an amazing spot to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine!
Wonderful apartment close to the Duomo.
We enjoyed our stay at Gaia's apartment. Everything was described accurately in the listing. Gaia was there to meet us at the door as we arrived from the train station (10 minute walk). Gaia explained everything about the apartment clearly and made us feel welcome. The apartment had everything we needed - we cooked, we dined, we slept, we relaxed, we enjoyed the ambience of the place including a diverting collection of framed prints and photos on the walls, and a nice collection of books on travel and cooking in many places around the world. Tutto bene!
The apartment was in the perfect location, near the train station and in the historic city center. It was great for 2 people. It had everything you would need and has a great outdoor space on the roof. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Loved it.
a WONDERFUL home away from home in Firenze
My friend and I stayed at this delightful apartment. We LOVED the central location - so close to everything - museums, churches, shopping, restaurants, etc. The setting was perfect for two persons, with great amenities including clothes washer, air conditioning, comfortable beds, and a charming terrace. Gaia is a great hostess - very accommodating and helpful before and during the trip. I highly recommend and would most certainly stay there again!
Great location and Gaia was very welcoming. The space is so nice and in a good location that is close to everything. Highly recommend this place.
An Amazing Week in Florence
My wife and I just returned from a week in Florence for her birthday. Gaia met us upon our arrival and took us through the apartment and gave us many helpful hints for the area. The apartment was fantastic. Walking distance to all the sites , restaurants, shopping and gelato! It was July, so the air conditioning was our saving grace every day. The apartment was clean and very functional. The elevator was really handy after a long day. And what can I say about the balcony? To the right is the Duomo and to the left is the Medici Chapel. We enjoyed breakfast there every morning. Bellissimo!
My wife even got a great deal on a leather purse from Gaia's husbands leather shop right downstairs. It was an amazing week. I'd give the apartment 10 stars if I could! Thanks Gaia.
The old San Lorenzo is famous in the world for the majestic Basilica and the Medici Chapels with the work by Michelangelo, the big market, specialized in the manufacturing of leather goods and other handcrafted goods of Tuscany, the Central Market, the beautiful nineteenth century building, where you can buy and taste the excellent Italian products.
Due to its strategic location in the center of the city, the San Lorenzo district is animated with tourists and Florentines, in one of the most popular areas for shopping, venues, dining and services.
Also at few minutes walking distance you can reach the Duomo, the Campanile di Giotto, the Palazzo Vecchio and the Ponte vecchio, the Academy of Fine Arts, the Arno river with its magnificent “Lungarni”, the Pitti palace with the monumental Boboli Garden, located in one area called " Oltrarno "(beyond the Arno on the left bank).
