How to get there from the UK: An excellent choice of Low Cost Flights from the majority of UK Airports to the Two key Airports servicing the area. Murcia (San Javier) Airport is only 40 Km from Tomas Maestro Marina via two excellent free flowing dual carriageways or Alicante Airport which again is practically a straight run approximately, 75 Km. Plans are also well under way via new road networks to make ready for the construction of a new International Airport, which is to be situated slightly inland to San Javier at Corvera and is positioned between the two existing airports some 60 Km from the apartment.

My wife Jean, and I had always wanted a 'Place in the Sun' and 10 years ago an opportunity arose for us to see that wish through.
We immediately were attracted to the area by the convenience of a 2.5 hour flight, the cosiness of landing at a small but very efficient airport at San Javier - and more importantly the apartment, its positioning and the surroundings, it just felt right.
We have tried to make each of our place's a 'home from home' thinking about what would be the perfect place to stay in if we were having a break abroad - and hopefully over the years of us owning them, we would like to think we have done so.

We bought this 2 years prior to Marinesco 2 on the otherside of the Marina - but all for the same reasons.
There really is not a better feeling than getting up in the morning, sliding open the doors, walking out onto a huge ground floor sun terrace, looking over and just seeing all shapes and sizes of boats and yachts literally passing your lounge window.
It might be a little further to walk over to the marina, than Marinesco 2 which is virtually on the marina, but again what a lovely walk over the 'swing bridge' stopping every now and again to watch the boats pass you by - coming and going from the Med and The Mar Menor.
The peace & privacy is noticeable and a plus -

I cannot put into words how nice this apartment is and how easy it was to deal with Mike. Everything is catered for and it was like living in my own home with all mod cons and more.
It was situated in a nice area, and the gardens and pool area were kept immaculately. The cleaner had done a brilliant job when we arrived, and was on hand to help.
I would have booked for next year and many more years ,but it's booked up. 😂Thanks to Mike for giving us our best holiday yet.
lovely apartment in good location, very well fitted out with everything you could want for an enjoyable stay. Comfortable beds and plenty of space outside. Location was perfect opposite the marina with views of the lagoon. Supermarket at the end of the road and a fabulous restaurant, Casa Paco also at the end of the road, with fabulous food and excellent value.
We had a lovely relaxing holiday again at your apartment.It was lovely and clean and comfortable.With the added bonus of having wi-fi we could keep in touch with our family. We had lots of nice trips and still love the lovely sunsets every evening.Thanks again Len and Barb.
Have just returned from a wonderful two weeks in La Manga. We really loved your appartment which offered us everything that we were looking for. The huge patio and furniture is great for any days when you do not want to venture out. We had a hire car and it was a great base for getting out and about to see some of the small villages around the3 Mar Menor and further down the coast in Mazaron and Aguilas.
Thanks to John who responded quickly when we experienced a problem with the lights in the bathroom.
I agree with the previous comment about WIFI so good to hear that this will soon be available.
Just two other suggestions and they are both minor. It would have been useful to have a change of towels for the 2nd week to save washing them and the kettle could do with replacing as it barely pours the water out.
Overall this was a very good experience so thanks to Mike and Jean for allowing us to rent your appartment.
Accurate description of property and well maintained. Good customer service from the on site contact John and would recommend to friends and family for future visits. Great view of the marina a enjoy watching the boats coming in and out . The best restaurants were the Chinese at the start of the strip by the Aldi supermarket , restaurant Miramar on the quayside at Cabo de Palos and the Rock and Grill near the Zoco shopping midway up the strip. Also had a trip round to Los Alcazares for another great beach and total English influx ( restaurants , bars etc) which was nice to visit but better to escape back to the strip. Many thanks to Mike and Jean for allowing us the use of the apartment . Myself the wife and most importantly our 16 month old thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks here. Only thing I could say would improve the stay would be wifi but hardly a negative against the property.
This development is found 13km up the La Manga Strip, which has views of two seas and sandy white beaches either side of road along your journey. The Mediterranean on one side and the Mar Menor (The Little Sea) on the other. The shallow waters of the Mar Menor and the absence of tides makes this the ideal place for a large variety of water sports. Add this to the waters of the Mar Menor being recognised as some of the most therapeutic in Europe and with the sun shining up to an average of 322 days per year, it's the perfect choice Along the full 22 km strip there are pockets of Shopping centres, restaurant, bars & activities, with the picturesque Tomas Mastreo Marina acting as your backdrop to the apartment views. Alongside the apartment are two landscaped communal pools for residents usage, and a superb supermarket facility. Beaches are literally a 5 min walk on either side of the apartment. A great family plus for summer and wonderful walks in the Spanish Winter and Spring, so take advantage of the 'flatness' of the surrounding area with the apartments latest addition of push bikes for free all included in the package price.
Other Activities: Great local markets, daily - go karting - bird sanctuary, suba diving
Golf: With in 30 minutes you can be playing one of the 3 famous courses at The exclusive La Manga Club with an array of famous Who's Who of the sporting world, and the first choice of many continental football teams Winter training and pre-season training camps.
Further a field there are some great Polaris World/Jack Nicolas Golf courses at Mar Menor, Hacienda Requelmie and La Torre - all with very reasonably priced Green fees.
