About the property

Bedrooms 3, Bathrooms 1, Sleeps 6

A wonderful, spacious apartment with 24 hour free wifi connection if you bring your laptop. You cannot be more centrally located. The sleeping area has three double rooms: one with a Queen size bed, and two with single beds and wardrobe space. In the kitchen you will find an oven, burners, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, fridge, washing machine etc. The living area is very comfortable and cosy and naturally fully furnished with sofas, satellite TV, DVD, dining table… Naturally it is all fully air conditioned and heated. This is truly an exceptional property in the absolute best position possible!! I consider this to be of very good value. To cover some basics - Yes, all linen, towels, cutlery, crockery etc are provided. If you travel with a baby, we have a baby crib, a high chair and a tub.

The neighbourhood of Gracia is just one stop up from the top of Passeig de Gracia but it feels like a whole different world. Gracia was an independent town until the late 19th century and even now the community is small and tight. The people are exceedingly proud of their roots, they don’t say they come from Barcelona, they say Gracia.

The area is popular with artists and a generally bohemian crowd. However despite the trendy nature of Gracia it is also a very traditional barrio with a large elderly population which makes for an amusing and odd mix - and very entertaining people-watching! Fontana and Diagonal are the metro stops, and from there you can get into the centre of the city, Paseo de Gracia in less than 5 minutes and Plaza Catalunya in less than 10 minutes.

Gracia is totally self-sufficient. That is to say you could stay in Gracia and never have to leave, there are good amenities of every sort, great bars, cosy cafes, a real Mediterranean lifestyle. Whilst everything like the buildings, streets and placas are in much smaller scale than those in the centre of town there is some striking art nouveau architecture to be seen.

The area is very safe.

The area is perfect for those who want something a little bit different, those who perhaps have been to Barcelona before and want a different tourist experience. Although really because central Barcelona is so easily accessible from Gracia it is suitable for everyone.

One of the best features of Gracia is that there are not so many tourists so you feel like you’ve discovered something a bit new and diverse. Shopping is also good in Gracia, where new, arty boutiques stand next to traditional Spanish stores.

Absolutely wonderful!

I stayed here with my wife and 4 children ages 13, 12, 9 and 7 for two weeks in September 2017. The apartment was very clean and had comfortable beds and pillows. Nice size tub with shower. The kitchen was adequate with microwave, oven, stove, fridge and washer/dryer combo unit. Dryer didn't dry clothes completely, but a minor inconvenience compared to how wonderful our stay was. The table was big enough for us all to eat and the couch was comfortable after long days exploring Spain. Towels and bedding were provided and all kitchen necessities.

Check in was very easy with Quentin meeting us at the premises right when we arrived. We took the owners offer of arranging the private transfer to the apartment from the airport which made arrival very easy. Do this when you arrive so you can get here easily while you learn your way around the city.

The neighborhood of Gracia is absolutely wonderful. My wife walked back alone at around midnight one night and felt completely safe. The Gracia square is only a block away with great sidewalk cafe's, bakeries, empanada shops, and ice cream stores. We ate here all the time. Our kids played street soccer at midnight with the local kids and loved it. This is the best area of all of Barcelona. The Passeig de Gracia is another block away with great shops and restaurants. Gaudi's la Pedrera is only a 10 minute walk. It's a 10 minute walk to the Diagonal metro stop where you can easily catch a metro anywhere in the city.

Stay at this apartment and you will love every day you are here in Barcelona, my favorite big city in the world.

Very unprofessional!

If you really want to stay here because you have a big family or big group, should ask them first all of cost they are charging. They put not so much on website then ask to pay a lot more for tax which is include their tax. Flat is very small, only 1 bathroom and not convenience. Another thing, there is very limited thing there...Too much to pay and not value for money at all. Last day when we left, they were coming 11 am and we asked 30 mins more for packing and they stayed in the flat and looked at us like policeman. Really really not want to stay there again!!! And please be careful with the property which is the first time to rent in homeaway and no comment yet!
