This is an amazing family home for visitors to London who want to live like a local! My flat is newly built, thoroughly modern and quite spacious by London standards.
The flat is located in Kensal Green which was recently featured as one of the host hippest areas in Europe! Whilst this might not be true entirely, Kensal Green is indeed home to stars such as Daniel Craig and Sienna Miller!
Coming back to the flat - its a spacious three bedroom apartment which has been decorated by a London designer and reflects our life which is a mix of East and West. My lovely wife is Chinese and we have lived in China for many years so you can see some soft Asian touches in the decor. But we also like Scandinavian minimalism so our home is a mix of both styles.
The flat is conveniently located on the ground floor which makes it very easy to access even with heavy luggage. When you enter the flat, you walk down a long corridor and you will discover the bedrooms. The master bedroom has a ensuite bathroom. As you can see the pictures, the master bedroom and second bedroom have oriental style low double beds. The third bedroom has a bunk bed. All three bedrooms come with luxury white linens which are changed between guests.
As you walk along the corridor you also come across the second bathroom which is shared by bedrooms 2 and 3. It has a tub and a shower while the master bathroom has a shower only. We provide shampoo, shower gel and a hair dryer in each bathroom. White fluffy towels are also provided.
Finally you come to large open plan living room. This is a lovely place for the entire family to gather and eat together. The dining table comfortably seats 6. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary gadgets to get you cooking!
We can provide a baby cot and high chair upon request. If there is anything else we can provide to make you comfortable please let us know.
The entire apartment is available for our guests.
To orient you, Kensal Green is a cute little part of West London just north of the famous Portobello Market and Notting Hill. You can walk to Portobello Road in 15 minutes from here or the lesser well known but nicer Golborne Road in 8 minutes. If you feel more athletic, 20 minutes walk will take you to Ledbury Road - the heart of moneyed Notting Hill.
Alternatively you can head north to Chamberlayne Road (10 minutes walk) Chamberlayne Road which was voted the hippest street in London by Vogue in 2009 because of its trendy pubs, antique stores and cafes.
Around the corner from the flat, there is Dock Kitchen - this is Tom Dixon's flagship store + restaurant. You can browse the amazing store while you wait for your freshly cooked food to be brought to you!
Get your caffeine fix at Minkie's Deli and also take away some of their famous salads and sandwiches. Try out one of the many amazing pubs - Paradise by way of Kensal Rise and the Parlour - for great food and great drinks! (They are a 5 minute walk away).
The Chamberlayne Pub is a meat lovers heaven as they focus on steak and on whiskey! Behesht is well known for its Iranian grilled meats. Since it is ever popular with the local residents, reservation is highly recommended.
We also love Ida's Italian restaurant which is a little piece of Italy in Queen's park. The pasta there is delicious!
If you are staying on a Sunday we highly recommend visiting the farmer's market on Salusbury Road. The food stalls there are delicious!
On Golborne Road, there are some amazing international places. Enjoy a rich sachertorte at the Viennese cafe Kipferl. Or the neighbouring Danish cafe Snap + Rye. You can get amazing food at John Doe!
Go to Paradise - our favourite pub in London which is in Kensal Green.
Kensal Green is the closest tube station and is 12 minutes walk away. Its on the Bakerloo line. This line will take you straight to Paddington, Baker Street, Oxford Circus and Waterloo!

Please note we're only looking for 90 day+ tenants and will require you to sign a standard rental contract (AST) as part of this agreement to accept your booking. Thanks for understanding.
The flat has 1 large floor to ceiling wall in every room. This makes the flat feel very light and bright and gives it a great sense of space. We have installed black out roller blinds.

Nice apartment in a OK area, but not a place if you like cooking.
It's a nice apartment, and that is clearly stated on the web page, so I will highlight what was not so good.
- housekeeping, the kitchen was very dirty,
- Lack of all type of kitchen appliances or electronics (only Nescafé)
- Apartment on the ground level, only possible to open windows few centimeters
- terrible key system to open windows few centimeters
Perfect family setting
Convenient with modern amenities. Flat is a bit loud as it in the ground flooor and one bedroom is near the entrance. Worked for us as we were rarely there. Lovely experience with Hostmaker who were very accommodating to our requests. Will stay again.
