In the heart of the Vanoise Park with great hikes: ideal for families

Note: weeks from December 17, 2016 until January 8, 2017 are full. You will be stayin in Les Préséloignés, a village with hidden treasures and a land of contrasts southwest of the Ferme de Pralognan. Combining refined authenticity and high quality comfort, this apartment with mountain atmosphere is appreciated for its warm decoration that is similar to the one in the traditional Savoyard chalets. Les Préséloignés has views of the mountains and the Doron River.

In summer: in the heart of the Vanoise Park close to the hiking paths.

In winter: at the foot of the ski kindergarten and the sledge slope and 150 m away from the ski school and the ski lifts.

You will stay a few steps away from the Olympic skating rink, the swimming pool, and the bowling alley. Here, you live on foot or on skis; the car is left in the garage. I offer 1 of our 3 apartments on the first floor: it has 50 m² of living space with a 12-m² balcony and an underground garage, without of course forgetting its ski storage room.

Here is the resume:

A fully fitted open plan kitchen features a large fan-assisted and pyrolysis oven, a dishwasher, a ceramic hob, a microwave, a washing machine, a big refrigerator with a 3-drawer freezer, raclette and fondue appliances, and food processors). We are done with small ovens and small refrigerators: Les Préséloignés now has household appliances worthy of the name.

Master bedroom: a private bathroom, a 140 x 190-cm bed, a cupboard, and a safe.

Bedroom 2: 140 x 190-cm mezzanine bed, a 140 x 190-cm bed, and a cupboard.

The bedrooms have windows with shutters and views of the mountain. Bathroom 2 is a bonus for our guests. There is a separate toilet. The Savoy-themed living room made out of roughcast and panelling with a flat-screen television, a DVD player, a library for both children and adults, a Hi-Fi system with iPod docking station, a phone and free, unlimited Wi-Fi.

Our top comfort: there is a safe for your documents and tablets, a big refrigerator with a 3-drawer freezer (installed at the end of May), a large fan-assisted pyrolysis oven, a 107-cm flat-screen television, a Nespresso coffee machine, a Nespresso special T-machine, a new-generation heater, and baby equipment.

Our asset: our balcony does not open onto the parking area to the northeast. It is sunny and southwest-oriented, and offers views of the garden, the Doron, and the mountain. There is no bed in the living room. Each bedroom is walled for more privacy. They all have a surface area that is adapted to and suitable for an excellent comfort. The apartment is located in a small chalet with very beautiful views of the mountains, in a quiet setting while being very close to the centre. Our balconies are flowered in summer. You will feel at home. Well-being and comfort are guaranteed. There is a wide choice of activities for all ages in both winter and summer. Gastronomic restaurants will make you discover their specialties.

Attractive rates: no nasty surprises. The underground garage is free, and so is the Wi-Fi. There is a very professional reception available upon arrival and during your entire stay. Our photos and movies reflect the real southwest-orientation of the apartment, its surface area, its quality, and its comfort. We recommend reading the comments of our guests and appreciating their loyalty.

Practical fittings: our new generation of heating system releases a constant and homogeneous heat from the floor to the ceiling for good comfort. The temperature of your apartment is controlled. Heaters in the living room and bedroom are controlled by a programmable thermostat while windows are equipped with opening detectors that power off heaters. In winter, there is no sensation of chilliness when heaters stop heating. It is an ideal holiday places for nature lovers in a dream village with your friends or family. A must-see! Here, people come and keep coming back.

I am a fan of nature, hiking in the Vanoise Park, photos, travelling, and decoration. We fell in love with Pralognan 18 years ago. We purchased our apartment “Les Préséloignés” on the first floor of the “Ferme de Pralognan” in 2002, then we fell for “Les Merles de Roche” on the second floor that we purchased in 2005 and we ventured into “Le Lys Martagnon” on the ground floor in 2011. As owners of several apartments, we are passionate about managing holiday rentals in several departments. We are constantly listening to our guests and we do our best for the well-being of our guests. I am part of the co-ownership council of our co-property for more than 10 years and I was chosen president of the co-ownership council in January 2011. So I perfectly know this chalet and its functioning. It is appreciated and photographed by our guests.

What makes this apartment unique

Our rental “Les Préséloignés” is very appreciated by our guests thanks to its proximity to the Alpine skiing and cross-country skiing slopes, the ski lifts, and the ski schools. The ski kindergarten is located in front of the chalet. The centre of the resort and the first shops are 50 m away from the chalet. In winter, you come back skiing to the accommodation. In summer, you are staying in the heart of the Vanoise Park. Many activities for adults and children are waiting for you in both summer and winter, without forgetting the kids clubs. A car is not necessary, because here, you leave on foot or on skis; you can come return home with your skis on.

There are many events for you to take part in our village throughout the seasons. Pralognan is a lovely authentic village that took part in the Olympics of Albertville in 1992. This apartment was labelled “coup de coeur ambiance montagne 3 clés vacances” since 2007 and is located on the first floor of the Ferme de Pralognan. We purchased it in 2002. Plans have been fully reviewed and rearranged by us before construction. Our entire decoration was found on a bric-a-brac market or purchased from Savoyard people. The tools are authentic. The balcony is facing the southwest. It is very sunny and offers views of the mountain and the Doron. It has a table for outdoor breakfasts and sun loungers for relaxation. From your living room, you enjoy stunning views of the small Mont Blanc. Your well-being is our priority and we do our best for your babies and children. It is true that our apartments are always sold out season after season, year after year. We thank our French, Belgian, Dutch, and American guests without forgetting our overseas island guests for their loyalty (it started more 7 years ago for some of our guests). In Pralognan, you come and keep coming back. “Pralognan, c’est beau, c’est chaud, c’est Pralo”.

Grâce à vous, nos premières vacances en Savoie ont été fantastiques. Après 15 jours de randonnées nos jambes sont moulues, nos pieds endurcis,mais nous n'avons pas encore tout découvert de Pralognan et ses alentours.

C'est pourquoi notre souhait est de pouvoir revenir l'année prochaine pour poursuivre nos aventures savoyardes !

Ski: the Domaine de Pralognan offers downhill and cross-country skiing. If you are looking for a big ski area, no problem: within 15 minutes you can reach the connection point with La Plagne or Les 3 Vallées in Courchevel, Meribel, or La Tania. As a small family village resort, Pralognan-la-Vanoise offers a ski area for all levels. In a majestic setting, you can ski and spot chamois and mountain sheep. The ski area of Pralognan extends from 2350 m to 1400 m of altitude. Thanks to the proximity of glaciers, its snow cover is of high quality. In addition, artificial snow is ensured with over 70 snow cannons from 2350 m of height until the ski resort. For experienced skiers: lanes and powder snow on the Combe des Pariettes slope. Within a few minutes by car, you reach the linking point to La Plagne.

You can also have sessions of Nordic walking cadenced by phases of warm-up, tonic walking and stretching. Discover 8 winter paths that are regularly maintained and marked. They will lead you to La Corniche, La Croix, etcetera, and give you the opportunity of admiring the nature and the valley’s hamlets.

Snowshoeing: thanks to the cable car of Mont Bochor and the ski lifts of Edelweiss and Génépi, you can reach the mountain bar-restaurants and discover the Col de la Vanoise with a guide. Discover the village during a torch-light hike; the guide invites you to discover the hamlets of Pralognan and to enjoy the different village feasts.

In summer, you can: enjoy village festivities (the Mountain Photography Festival, the Belgian Day, the Fête du Barioz, the Saint John Feast, the Fête des Guides, etc.). Discover the exceptional heritage of our hamlets, taste our specialties (gentiane, cheese, etc.), have candle-light dinner in a former sheepfold, discover the production of cheese, the mountain pasture and our herds, and simply discover the soul of our village with its “old people”.

Summer activities: practical guide. During your walks, you can discover waterfalls, mountain streams, lakes, summits and glaciers, mountain shelters, theme paths, viewpoint indicators, and cable cars. You can go climbing, horse riding, visiting the Ecureuil adventure park, tree-climbing, zip lining, paragliding, mountain biking, fishing, playing tennis, or having fun on trampolines.

The Pralokid: kids club and inflatable structures.

Seeking thrills: Via Ferrata of Cascade de la Fraîche.

Superbe séjour

L'appartement est très bien situé avec une vue magnifique sur les montagnes. Il est conforme à la description, il ne manque rien, très propre et bien équipé. On peut laisser la voiture dans le garage et partir directement à pied pour faire les randonnées voire même prendre la navette pour se rapprocher des lieux de départ. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par karine.

Nous avons passés un superbe séjour et on reviendra pour profiter encore de cet endroit magnifique.

Un séjour aux PRÉSÉLOIGNÉS vraiment émerveillé !

Ce séjour sur Pralognan-la-Vanoise fut un vrai régal, un pur moment de découverte et de relaxation.

L’appartement est idéalement situé, offrant une vue magnifique sur les montagnes environnantes, un vrai plaisir de prendre son repas ou se relaxer depuis la terrasse en profitant de cette vue... La location est propre et très bien aménagée, nous n’y avons manqué de rien, et on s’y sent vite comme chez nous. Et sans oublier la décoration faites avec beaucoup de goût, un grand bravo aux propriétaires, dépaysement montagnard garanti ! Aucun mensonge dans l’annonce, la description et les photos reflètent bien la réalité, et c’est encore mieux en vrai !!

Côté village, tout est accessible directement à pied (commerces, boutiques, office du tourisme, restaurants …) Le village est très beau, et très calme (pour la période où l’on y était) et a su garder le charme des villages de montagne, on est loin des grandes stations de ski où règnent le béton et tant mieux !!!

Accueil très chaleureux des propriétaires par téléphone lors des différents contacts, ainsi que sur place. Des propriétaires très sérieux, qui connaissent très bien la région et amoureux de cette belle nature, et qui n’hésitent pas à le faire partager avec leurs locataires pour des vacances au top ! Nous les remercions encore une fois pour leur sympathie et leurs conseils précieux qui ont fait que ces vacances étaient encore plus merveilleuses.

Pour les amoureux de nature et randonnées c’est le lieu idéal, beaucoup de départs de randonnées peuvent se faire au pied de la résidence. La situation avec le parc national de la Vanoise offre des randonnées dans une nature préservée et splendide. Nous avons eu l’immense bonheur d’observer les marmottes et de découvrir des paysages de montagne grandiose avec sa flore sortant à peine de leur sommeil hivernal. Que ce soit pour de simples ballades, des randonnées, ou toutes autres activités de loisirs, vous y trouverez votre bonheur. Et pour les gourmand et amateurs de plats savoyard vous serez comblé, notamment nous avons apprécié le refuge « le repoju » (restaurant la bergerie) situé au hameau du Prioux, un lieu splendide ou vous pourrez déguster entre autre la raclette au feu de bois, le tout dans une ambiance douce éclairée seulement à la bougie.

Nous y reviendrons c’est sûr !!! Et cela forcement aux PRÉSÉLOIGNÉS !

Et à ce qui hésite encore … n’hésitez plus, nous pouvons vous garantir que vous ne serez pas déçu !

A perfect place

We spent the first week of april there and we had a fantastic time.

We were 3 adults and 2 kids and had more than enough space, nothing to compare with those tiny place you often get in resort.

The owner was great, as was the checkin and checkout lady.

the flat was very well equipped.

We will stayed there again when we go skiing in a couple of years

Superbe appartement

Emplacement de l'appartement idéal,près des commerces et des pistes de ski.

Accueil chaleureux de la part de la propriétaire et à l'arrivée par Karine ( dossier transmis pour l'arrivée complet,aucune surprise désagréable) L'appartement est joliment décoré, propre, fonctionnel,il ne manque rien. La literie est bonne et c'est très calme.

Nous reviendrons l'année prochaine si possibilités.
