Characterful property in a lovely area
We had an enjoyable and relaxing week at Casa Lagoa. The pool and the kitchen of the cottage have both been improved since the pictures on the home and away site so it was even better than expected.
Plenty of places to visit in the area and a short drive to several beaches - highly recommended.

The bed was a bit too hard for our likings but thats a personal thing I guess.

Quando marcamos pela primeira vez para determinada propriedade existe sempre o receio de algo não correr bem ou não ser exatamente como imaginávamos.
Quando chegámos fomos recebidos pela Anna que entre português e inglês nos entendemos perfeitamente e nos sentimos de imediato em casa.
Tinhamos perguntado se podiamos levar a nossa cadela, não só nos foi dito que sim, bem como pôde ficar conosco na casa e andar á vontade pelo jardim. Isto foi algo que pesou muito na nossa decisão de escolha de local e ferias.
O espaço em si excelente, bem cuidado, com tudo o que é necessario para que possamos relaxar e apenas desfrutar. A casa super limpa, agradavel e equipada para que não nos falte nada.
Iremos voltar com toda a certeza e mais uma vez muito obrigada tudo.

Lovely house and garden!!!
We had a very nice stay at Casas da Lagoa. The host, Diana, was very friendly and the house itself very comfortable.
We were a little unlucky with the weather otherwise we would have made an even better use of the amazing garden and swimming pool.
We hope we are able to come back very soon!

Maison très bien belle prestation, terrain agréable, terrasse barbecue très bien situation géographique magnifique plage de sable a 10 minute Lisbonne a 40 minutes et beaucoup de site a visiter a coter de la maison a refaire

This region has plenty of light and a very mild climate. The coastline and the countryside are therefore linked field in a dotted green patch of white houses. The entire coastal area is part of the World Surfing Reserve, and the beach of Ribeira de Ilhas is the most famous for the sport. Ericeira, important customs from where the last Portuguese king fled into exile, is now the center of this reserve.
Being deeply connected to the history of Portugal, the region combines great natural beauty with a rich historical and architectural heritage.
The most important location is Mafra, whose history is intertwined with its National Palace - Convent, the greatest work of Portuguese Baroque immortalized by Nobel Prize winner Jose Saramago in Memorial do Convento. The interior of the Palace and the Library are unmissable, and in its fantastic Tapada live deer and wild boar free. Tapada can be visited and is much appreciated by the children.
Ericeira and Mafra Region are part of the famous lines of Torres Vedras, large military complex for the defense of Lisbon during the Napoleonic invasions.
The area is located also very close to Sintra, the capital of romanticism, famous for its natural beauty, its palaces and its manors.
