|Minimum Stay||1 - 5 nights|
This remodeled four bedroom cabin backs to miles of National Forest Land with wonderful trails for hiking and biking in the summer time and cross country skiing-snowmobiling in the winter.
The cabin was completely remodeled with all new furniture, creative and unique log accents, pine ceilings and walls, open real fireplace. The spacious front deck, rear deck, and coffee deck off the upstairs bedroom are perfect for relaxing after a fun-filled day exploring Lake Tahoe. This cabin is in a peaceful and quiet setting, yet is a short drive to all the amenities of Lake Tahoe (beaches, skiing, clubs, restaurants, etc). The hot tub is the spot to stare at the star-filled sky.
The bedrooms have new pine beds, with lots of cozy pillows, cabin decor bedding, and all linens are supplied. There is a large "kids room/playroom" upstairs with a TV and a foosball table (in addition to a queen bed and two twin beds). This is the perfect home for a family gathering.
We had a few issues with the hot tub during the heavy storms of January, it has been services and cleaned and is up and running 2/9/17.

Nice house but it was not totally clean. Spider Webs were in the kitchen. The kettle , mixer and water filter were missing, so kitchen was not fully equipped. WiFi was not working. We rented this house because it had a hut tub/ jacuzzi outside. I asked if it's working before we rented it. When we got there the hut tub was full with dirty water. I called the owner but during 4 days nobody came to clean we were not able to use it. Very disappointed.

The property backs onto National Forest which was awesome for sledding ,dog walking and the need to pay fees for Sno-Parks.Well equipped apart from a couple of issues--The sheets in the upstairs bedroom and on the full bed were terrible--old scratchy flannel.I actually bought sheets for us at KMart to sleep on as those were SO uncomfortable.And the ants....After them falling on my grandson in the travel cot and HUNDREDS all over the floor in the upstairs bedroom (these are big ants) we bought more spray--worked for an hour then more poured my sons sat there and watched where they came from as no-one was prepared to sleep in that room.Finally a cuouple of areas on the ceiling became obvious-- a bit of duct tape later problem solved!! Ants trying desperately to get in while my sons duct taped their holes... WE did worry they would find another way to come in but they didn't.BUT it is a great place and I will be looking to return next year.....More snow fun !!
We have been staying at Snow Shoe for many years now. This is by far our favorite rental in the Tahoe area. We always enjoy the peace and quiet and the beautiful location among the hills. The cabin is well stocked and is so cozy. There is always everything we need to make our stay comfortable. Whether it's in the summer or winter, the area is perfect for hiking or sledding, with secluded hills right out the back door.
An easy drive to all of Lake Tahoe's ammenities: beaches, lakes, streams, restaurants, casinos, and more. Or just hike out the back door and relax in the woods.
