Large typically French style Village house
So for the house, it has a large living room, well equipped kitchen, with a pool table in the living room, tons of fun.
For the older folks, please note that stairs are plentiful as it's four stories. Top floor access is particularly steep and winding, and you walk straight into the top floor bathroom with no door from the stairs so you have to make your presence known whilst using the loo. From the upstairs bathroom you go into a large bedroom and then another large bedroom.....no corridors and all interconnecting from the bathroom so it's an intimate sharing experience.
Downstairs bathroom off the living room was a good size but the shower head over the bath didn't stay in place and there was no bath plug so we bought one from a market. The lower bedroom (two floors below the upper bedrooms) provides access to the main usable outdoor space which is the enclosed balcony with gorgeous views over the valley. The garden isn't really the place to sit comfortably. The lower bedroom has two single beds which were pushed together to create a king, but which slid apart during the night. The hosts are charming and left us wine bread and sausage, very kind. There are lots of village walks and it's a great location to explore. Close to Bergerac or Bordeaux for flights. The village bakery is three doors down and provides delicious croissants and bread. The two village restaurants are competitively priced and provide delicious food. And great for those who want to walk home, literally both are yards away. The tourist office in the town was often open and the lady there was extremely helpful.
thank you for your feed back, wich describe the house and the village.
But this country house in a village is perfectly described in the announcement.
also, it's proposed to rent for 4 or maximum 5 people. because 2 rooms at the first floor are connecting room.
About the level of garden, it can become welcoming if you use some chair and deck chair, umbrella, because you have all that on place, at the same level.
I hope homever that you enjoy your stay in the house.
