Delightful Lakeland Terraced Cottage

Bedrooms 2
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 2 - 7 nights

About the property

Newly refurbished in spring 2016.

This delightful Lakeland terraced house has very much the country chic feel about out.The owner has made great efforts to blend modern day living and quality furnishings together in this beautifully decorated cottage.

Tucked away in a quiet side street off the centre of the bustling village of Bowness, you will find Beaumont Cottage. This is a perfect place to base yourself for exploring all that the lake district has to offer and you could even leave the car and utilise the local transport services, with a bus stop just at the end of the street and Lake Windermere a short stroll away, where boats can be boarded for access to Ambleside and Lakeside as well as Hawksead.

From the entrance you access the cosy lounge with sumptuous corner couch, electric fire and Smart TV. The hallway then leads you to a bright and modern dining room with quaint window seat, additional flat screen TV and comfortable dining for four on those evenings you choose to stay in and cook rather than be tempted out by the large selection of pubs and restaurants in the village. A modern and well equipped kitchen, with access to the rear enclosed courtyard which has secure bike storage and ample space to sit and enjoy dinner alfresco or a glass of wine on those warmer evenings.

Upstairs to both colourful and comfortable bedrooms, kingsize to the front with ample storage and flat screen TV and a cosy twin room to the rear, next to a bright and fully tiled bathroom with a full sized bath to soak away those aches after a long day on the fells or in the shops and shower unit above the bath.

Beaumont Cottage ticks all the boxes for comfort, coziness and location.

As well as a National Park, the Lake District received worldwide recognition in 2017 when we were granted World Heritage Status by UNESCO! Something we are extremely proud of.

What a beautiful cottage with amazing decor. Be proud of what you have created. We definitely will return.

Fat Olives and Chinese on street corner were fab and some people in the family are fussy.

Home from home.

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We booked this at the last minute and loved the location and comfort of the place. Nice bedrooms and modern kitchen and bathroom. Cosy living room. Close to shops and restaurants but not noisy as up a side street.

We would recommend as a lovely place to stay.

Family of four stayed one week in late August

  • 5 of 5

An excellent property close to town centre. The house was very clean and well maintained. We have nothing negative to comment and would strongly recommend it.

The local buses are excellent and are easier to use than taking off every day and trying to park. Can be a bit pricey for one day but a weekly family ticket for all areas at £60 was money well spent.

We had a thoroughly memorable week and enjoyed our time both local to the house and ranging further off into the hills.

A delightful home from home

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our week at Beaumont cottage which thoroughly exceeded our expectations.

Clean and extremely well equipped, surprising spacious and little extras such as the Easter gifts, tea ,milk and coffee made us feel very welcome. Our twelve year old daughter was particulary delighted with the wifi and three televisions! You have thought of everything that a family require for a holiday.

The cottage is well located for all that Bowness has to offer with amenities within a short walking distance. A lovely location.

Beaumont cottage is an excellent base for exploring the lakes and we will definitely recommend this to friends. We will book again next year. Thank you Tracy.

Excellent cosy cottage in a perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here whilst our son went off and did his Gold Duke of Edinburgh and just wanted a nice place as a base. We got much more as this is a wonderful cottage with almost everything you could need - tea cosy is the only item we missed. It is clean, very well presented and feels like a really snug home for a perfect holiday. Has to be one of the best we have stayed in across Europe and it fitted us very nicely for our days in - rain! - and our stomping around the fells. Great location with a Coop 2 mins walk, good restaurants within 30 seconds to 5 mins and so much choice. Brilliant transport options - bus at top of the road and the boats only 5 mins away. Nice touches include the starter pack and the shower gel and eye wipe pads and buds. Absolutely recommended and a truly lovely place.

Success on the DofE so our son came back to a lovely warm cosy place after 4 nights in the cold. Ideal.
