The villa is part of a holiday complex within a very quiet and relaxing garden. All facilities are within walking distance - bureau de change, supermarket, taxi stand, bus stop, and restaurants. Easy access to all other parts of the island (airport, capital city, and other main towns) via public or private transport. The villa has its own communal swimming pool, tennis court, and tropical garden. It includes all self-catering facilities and a maid service 6 days/week. Situated on the west coast of Mauritius, Flic-en-Flac has the longest and most beautiful white sandy public beach on the island only 200 metres from the villa.

The self-catering facilities will appeal to all those who value their freedom to enjoy their holiday in their own lifestyle and at their own pace.

The property has recently been partly refurbished and fully redecorated internally and externally (Summer 2014).

Safety/security: The property has a safe in which you can store passports, tickets and other documents. You are encouraged to make use of it. The management discouraged the keeping of money and documents in other parts of the holiday home. If you have any doubt, consult the management.

Excursion: Other than holidaying in the Flic-en-Flac area, you may wish to take advantage of all the other natural beauty spots around Mauritius. The management will be available for consultation and discussion. Within the village of Flic en Flac there are several companies offering tours and excursions around the island including neighbouring islands. Please shop around and be prepared to negotiate asking price. This applies equally to taxi services.

Wedding: For those who are planning a wedding, please, inform us at the earliest opportunity so that you are not disappointed. Permission is required for wedding celebration in the tropical garden as it is a communal site. The civil marriage is usually held at the local registry office in the town hall. The religious aspect is held separately. There are some beautiful churches of all Christian denominations on the island. If you are catholic, you will be spoilt for choice.

Any celebration held within the villa requires that all noises are kept to a minimum after 11.oopm.

Why Ken Pillay chose Mauritius

I purchased the property after holidaying there 10 years ago. I fell in love with the house, its location and surrounding. I still holiday there at least once a year and it also gives me the opportunity to find out for myself any repair and/or maintenance required throughout. Within the complex there is a team of personnel - housekeeper, gardener, security officers who are always friendly, courteous and helpful.

The location of the villa provides easy access to all other parts of the island whether you are using a rented car, taxi or public transport.

Should you choose not to venture out, you are only a few yards from the public beach, local bars, restaurants, night club and casino.

What makes this villa unique

The location of the property makes it the ideal place to stay even if you are using the villa for sleeping in. The open plan on the ground floor creates an airy and bright environment yet very cosy once the doors and curtains are shut after dark.

If like me, you love dining alfresco, there's a very pleasant terrace at the rear and front of the property.

During hot summer days, you have the benefit of an airconditioning system in each bedroom. Those who do not feel comfortable with airconditioning system may enjoy using the ceiling fan in each bedroom and in the living area on the ground floor.Two of the bedrooms open onto a balcony facing the communal garden and swimming pool.

Public transport is easily negotiated to all parts of the island. A taxi stand is just outside the Complex should you prefer a more personal service.

Within the town centre there are several businesses organising trips to places of interest including local scuba diving and big game fishing.

delightful holiday home for family

i was most impressed by the villa and standard of its services. all facilities exist for preparing food although we did not cook vey often. there are many restaurants nearby at reasonable prices. its very appealing for us as we could either stay in or dine out as we have young children.

having a maid service is very helpful as the place was kept clean and tidy. we wetre made most welcomed by all personnel working within the complex. the local beach is handy as we did not have far to walk. i would recommend it to anyone planning a holiday where they can do things at their own pace.

Ideal holiday villa

The villa is great for a family holiday. It is clean, with all necessary facilities and a maid who comes to clean each day. It is part of an enclosed complex with lovely communal gardens and a good swimming pool. For those who prefer not to cook on holiday, there is a variety of restaurants nearby. The super beach is about a five minute walk away and there are many interesting shops in the neighbourhood. We have stayed at the villa twice already and are planning a third visit.

Lovely homely feel

I came here on a 2 week holiday with my partner. We wanted a quiet chilled holiday, and this is exactly what we got. The complex is lovely and quiet. There's a swimming pool which we used a couple of times when taking a break from the beach which is literally a 2 min walk away! : ) The living room and kitchen are a good size for when we wanted to have a night in. All the facilities we needed for cooking a meal were available. There's a supermarket just down the road from the complex, and also a variety of restaurants to choose from if we were too lazy to cook. The bedrooms are spacious and clean and so is the bathroom. There's a maid that comes to clean and change the bed sheets everyday which was lovely. All in all a great place which we would definitely recommend.

September Break

I had a very enjoyable two weeks and I would most certainly recommend this property to my friends and relatives and would love to go back again. I found the bedrooms quite spacious, and well aired, nice clean sheets which is very important. The kitchen was well equipped ,although if we didnt feel like cooking, there were a few good restaurants nearby. It is very close to the beach and shops which is fantastic.

Highly Recommended

I would recommend this property and also Flic en Flac for a chilled out holiday and a taste of local life. it was a really lovely villa close by to shops, restaurants and the beach. The small creole curry restaurant to the right of the complex on the main road is a must. We then went on to a hotel in the North for the second week, which was also enjoyable but we are so glad we went to Flic en Flac first. The food was cheaper & better and everything was more natural. Thanks to Edouard & the maid for all your help and for a great holiday

Our wonderfull stay

Rachael and I decided to rent this Villa for our 3 week stay in Maurititus. Although I have family that live in Mauritius it was nice to stay somewhere for just the two of us. Situated very close to the beach and all amenities, Spar, Bank, Restaurants, Convenient Stores. The Villa was exceptional, extremely tidy with a maid who came every other day for us. We used local transport to get around the Island. Ask for Saleem, a local taxi driver who took us all around the island for next to nothing. He is located at the beach near the mobile snack wagon. A great guide. His wife rents out the sun loungers. The cost of the holiday was very reasonable for us.

The villa is located in a holiday resort area with easy access to all facilities and services that may be required by holiday makers. The local public beach is only metres away from the villa, and all other public beaches and places of interest are equally easily accessible by public or private transport. The local people are friendly, helpful, and supportive.

Its strategic location makes Flic-en-Flac very accessible to all other parts of the island. Whether you are travelling to the surrounding towns, capital city, other public beaches, or international airport, you are within a bus or taxi ride away. If you are a worshipper of the sea, sun, and sand, then there is plenty for you to do within Flic-en-Flac.

The accommodation is appropriate for families with children. Use of the swimming pool requires parental supervision for the very young. While the property is suitable for older persons, all sleeping facilities can only be negotiated via staircase. The open plan on ground floor lends itself well to entertaining and can accommodate a fairly large group. So if you are celebrating a special occasion - anniversary, birthday, wedding or just an excuse for a party - you should be able to accommodate a fairly large group. Outside lighting on both rear and front patio spaces makes it attractive for an evening barbecue or for just relaxing. Smoking is prohibited in sleeping areas and discouraged in living area. There is plenty of space on the patio or small private garden to the front and rear of the property for smokers. While pets are not allowed, guide dogs for the blind or partially sighted are welcomed.
