'The apartment was of a very high standard and everything was well thought of... the accommodation was very comfortable and very well presented...'
'As I said the apartment is excellent and in a prime location. Extremely well furnished and kitted out to a very high standard.'
Four of us have just returned from 7 days holiday in this gorgeous apartment. It is quite stunning and the view over Cardiff Bay while you sit sipping delicious cold wine (from the wine cooler) on the balcony is perfect. The apartment was spotless and has everything you could possibly need -powerful showers, endless hot water, dishwasher, washing machine, TV, DVD, radios......
The surrounding environs provide endless activities and we (4 adults) filled 7 days without any problem. It takes less than 2 minutes to walk to the mind boggling array of restaurants and bars - suggest Damiros for Pimms and champagne and delish pizza and steak. It takes 3 mins to walk to the magnificent theatre, the new Welsh parliament, to book speed boat trips, to jump on the water bus for Cardiff city centre. The open top bus stops 100m from the apartment and drops off at the Millenium Stadium (great tour) and the Castle (also well worth a visit). We had lazy mornings relaxing in the apartment people watching from the balcony and it was SO RELAXING, we ate lunch somewhere diferent every day (avoid Terra Nova - ghastly), were busy all afternoon then came back to the lovely apartment to change, chill, have a glass of wine and then hit The Bay. Don't hesitate to book this apartment. Cardiff Bay has loads to offer and it is such a fab place to stay. Enjoy!
We stayed in this flat as I was working at the Wales Millennium Centre. The perfect location, five minutes walk. The Bay is lovely. Beautiful views; great restaurants and bars. The flat isn't enormous but it's fine for a family / good friends, and exactly as described. Every room is tastefully decorated and nicely kept. We were staying there with our two young babies, who loved to explore (travel cot provided, thank you). We would definitely stay there again and very much recommend it.
FANTASTIC LOCATION, BOTH KATY AND JAMIE WERE HELPFUL AND QUICK RESPONDING. THE FACILITIES BOTH AT THE APARTMENT AND LOCALLY WERE MORE THAN WHAT WE NEEDED. WOULD I STAY HERE AGAIN... YES 100%
This Apartment is wonderful. Stayed here a few weeks ago for the One Direction concerts. The Host Jamie is really helpful, he let us check in early at 12pm and got his friend to check us in, who was really friendly, polite and helpful, insisted on helping us with our luggage from car as we had kids with us. Katy who lives in the States is the owner and she was prompt in emailing us back with any questions we had. I would highly recommend this apartment, in the best location you could possibly ask for and equipped with all you could possibly need and more. Infact it exceeded our expectations.
We took our 2 Grandchildren on a weeks visit of our relatives and friends who are spread out around the area. We hoped to spend some time to ourselves. This Apartmentment turned out to be ideal for both. Set right on the water and literally 50 Mts to the nearest eating establishment, it was ideal. The Apartment is spacious and well supplied with everything you need for a week or two away. Everything was clean and tidy and for a holiday "home" we'll maintained.
We were greeted and shown how everything worked. The underground parking is great as we had a couple of days of rain but being underground this was no problem for staying dry. The lift zooms upstairs.
The Apartment is well furnished with top marks to the comfort of the bed. The en-suite shower was as good as ours at home, this really made us feel comfortable and at home.
Being right in the middle of Cardiff Bay and right next to all the restaruants you would have thought it would be noisy at night. But because none of the restaruants has music playing we were never disturbed.
Cardiff Bay has just opened a "man made beach" and paddling pool for the kids. Our 8 yr old thought this was great.
The Apartment is only a 30 min walk from the centre of Cardiff's main shopping centre and only an easy 9 mile drive to the M4, which means you can also be in the countryside of the Brecon Beacons in no time.
We only arrived home a few hours ago and in 6 days are heading off to a Gite in France for 3 weeks and were just hoping we have as much luck with our accommodation.
Not only would we recommend this Apartment to others but we are hoping that we will be returning next year.
Thank You Katy
This is a wonderful property. Very luxurious, very well equipped with everything one could possible want. Good cooking facilities. Wonderful master bedroom. Beautiful view over Cardiff Bay with. Balcony to sit on if the weather is good enough. In Mermaid Quay itself, but quiet. Only 2 minutes from Millenium centre, so only ideal for those going to an opera or other show. Convenience stores nearby. We arrived late, but the key holder heroically came to let us in. The check in went perfectly. hope that there's another opera I want to see in Cardiff so I can come again!
Cardiff, the capital city of Wales, has an amazing array of things to do to keep visitors occupied all year round. Cardiff boasts one of the finest selections of golf courses in the UK, there is a myriad of cultural and sporting events available, from the National Museum and Gallery of Wales, to the Millennium Center, home of the Welsh National Opera and International arts complex, St. Davids Theatre, and of course, the world famous Millennium Stadium, which not only hosts world class rugby and football fixtures, but also major musical events. Sailing, canoeing and kayaking are very popular in Cardiff Bay and the Bristol Channel – and of course, the shopping is fabulous! Approximately 80% of the UK can be reached by road within 4 hours from Cardiff. London is just 2 hours away by train and European, national and other overseas destinations are well served by Cardiff International Airport.
Other Activities: canoeing, kayaking, jet boat rides
