I was sold on this house when we walked in the front door. We thought about getting a lakefront, but they are usually smaller properties with neighbors right on top of each other and you also can never take your eyes off children with the water that close, so parents never get to relax. We're on 1.5 acres, fenced backyard and huge flat front lawn so kids can play with no worries. We have municipal water and are on a paved road with a ton of parking.
What makes this House unique
We've rented many homes over the years, some great, some not so great, so we learned what we did and didn't like. Old furniture, mis-matched and sparse kitchenware and crappy mattresses were the biggest things we wanted to avoid. When it came to setting up this house, we approached it like we were going to arrive with our clothes and food, and everything else should pretty much be there. The road, Peach Orchard Point, is paved right up to the driveway, no steep dirt roads, which are very common in this area. It's also plowed all year, so no worries about a winter trip. Long 'U' shaped driveway so boat or race car trailers can pull in and out without backing up and plenty of parking. Large front and back yards and a fire pit at the rear overlooking the lake. We have municipal water, not a well, so no strange sulpher smells or buying bottled water to drink and cook with. BBQ grille is piped to the house propane, no tanks to fill or run out. Access to the lake is at Smith Park , just half a mile away. There is a playground with gazebos and bbq grills and a beach with life guards for swimming. There is also a boat launch ramp with plenty of room to park your trailer while out on the water for the day.

This was our groups third trip to the region and we couldn't have been more pleased. The home is an older style stonehouse and has a lot of charm. The owners are great and very responsive. We'll definitely be looking to stay again when in the area.
A++++++ This home was absolutely beautiful... so much more than we ever imagined. Everything was clean, in place and it looks exactly as it is presented in the photos. There were tons of cooking utensils and supplies which was very nice. We would definitely rent this property again! The owners were extremely attentive and helpful in making the rental process easy. House has all the amenities you could want. Large, comfortable beds and the master bath has a great shower. Very quiet location, perfect for your getaway.

We stayed 8 people (2 families of 2 adults, 2 boys each) during a rainy week in July for our first trip to the Finger Lakes. The house was amazing, beautifully decorated, plenty of room, all the amentities. The outside is really what made it for us. Lake view (a little less with all the trees in the summer) but a fenced in yard, 1 acre was perfect for kids. At night, the adults would enjoy the awesome hot tub. Fire pit was great for smores. Outdoor table and chairs to eat at. Quiet and private. So relaxing. The house was stocked. We used the 2 twin air beds for the kids. They are great, you plug it in and they inflate and deflate. Plenty of sheets and towels. Washer and dryer worked perfectly. Dish soap and hand soap and toilet paper included, they provide 1 roll of paper towels. Every kitchen gadget you can imagine, very spacious, great for cooking and hanging around like you do on vacation. Fridge with water and ice maker. Comfortable beds. Master bathroom has a gorgeous claw foot tub and shower. TVs are downstairs. Owners were responsive on my questions, during booking, upon receiving our deposit, upon sending directions upon final payment and in sending deposit back. I received the deposit back under 2 weeks after the vacation was over. House was clean, well manicured and updated. Location was great. While it felt private and quiet, it is near a lake beach and dock and tons of wineries on Lake Seneca. 8 minutes or so from Watkins Glen downtown and WG State Park. As a landlord, I really understand how much time it takes to communicate with 'renters' and the owners were very easy to work with and take pride in their home.
Located right off the Seneca Lake Wine trail on a paved road with a flat driveway accessible by any vehicle including limos and tour vans. Dozens of great wineries within a short drive and shops, restaurants, and breweries are all around the area. Large U shaped driveway with plenty of parking for boat and car trailers, launch ramp 1/2 mile away. Watkins Glen International Raceway and Watkins Glen State Park are less than 15 minutes away.
