Ann, you have given us a wonderful vacation by leasing your apartment to us in Cassis. Your apartment was excellently presented by Claudine who speaks excellent English and hopefully we learnt some French from her too. The apartment is very well equipped. There are three very well apportioned bedrooms, one with en-suite. There is a large bathroom with two basins, shower and wc. From the lounge you walk onto the balcony where the dual-aspect panoramic views of vines, cliffs and sea are absolutely beautiful. There may be a case for car rental as the location is about 10 to 15 minutes walk from the main beach, but if you fill fit, there is no problem. Once again thank you for a fabulous vacation - Terry, Valerie and family.
This apartment is in a great location, a short walk from the town centre and with a great view of the surrounding area. The accommodation was the perfect size for our group of 4 and was stocked with everything we needed. The manager Claudine was very friendly and helpful. Recommended.
We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. Excellent location with parking in front of the property and also an easy walk down to the centre of Cassis.
The apartment has the most stunning views from the balcony.
It was very clean and well equipped.
Comfortable and peaceful.
Look off the terrace to the Med about 100 meters away and contemplate the day's activities. It's about a 10 minute walk to town or an easy drive if you will be shopping. There are many pay parking lots near town although they fill up on weekends and market days and the apartment may be as close as some of the lots.
The apartment is actually 3 bedrooms as the dining room seems to have been converted and two full bathrooms. Both bathrooms are updated nicely although the toilet for the master bedroom is located in the hallway. Everything was spotless and functional except the towels which were a bit old and rough. The bedding was great with a very nice comforter and pillows on a comfortable mattress. The kitchen was fantastic. European sized but well equipped with every you need and much more. There was even salt, pepper, spices and a variety of other cooking essentials that it seems you always must buy each time you rent an apartment. We were very pleased with the overall conditions and amenities.
Finally, Ann and her agent, Claudine were the best. They responded quickly to all our questions and delivered everything that was promised and more. I highly recommend this apartment. We have stayed in Cassis before and this is the best quality for the least money.
We stayed in this condo/apartment for 6 nights during the 2nd week in September. We were 4 American adults and we had an absolutely fabulous experience. The apartment was well furnished, incredibly cheap (by American standards) and close to the city of Cassis. We were met by Claudine who was very helpful in explaining the housing accommodations and the local events/activities/restaurants. The terrance was very nice and had a great view of the sea. A small, rocky beach is within 5 minutes walk of the apartment and the "vieux port" is within 10-15 minutes walk. We went on a 2 hour walk in the Calanques one day and another day took a 75 minute boat ride to visit them from the seaside. Both experiences were magnificent and picturesque.
We also went wine tasting one day and there literally are 6-8 vineyards within 5 km of the apartment. We also took a drive on the "Route des Cretes" and were able to take in some beautiful views of the city from on high. Cassis was a fabulous small, manageable city that had some great bars/restaurants but was not overly touristy (at least in September). Fresh seafood and endless sunshine everyday (we mostly cooked at home), followed by beautiful sunset every evening. This was a really wonderful place to experience the Cote D'Azur without all the fanfare and hassle that often accompanies visiting some of the more traditional cites (think Nice, Monte Carlo or St Tropez). If you are looking for party central, Cassis is not your place. If you want a true Mediterranean experience, Cassis is your place and this apartment made our experience affordable, comfortable and memorable. Please don't book this place for too long because I am definitely going to return!
We very much enjoyed our recent trip to Cassis staying in this vacation home. From the balcony, we enjoyed views of the gardens and Mediterranean Sea. A short walk down the hill provides grocery shopping and a swim in the water. Private parking outside the entrance makes access to the vehicle very easy.
The apartment has been well cared for -- clean floors, clean bedding, clean bathrooms and kitchen, clean balcony, and all the necessary kitchen items on hand. We rented the sheets and towels, which were waiting for us, as anticipated.
What we enjoyed most of all was the hospitality of both the homeowner via email, and the caretaker in person. Both couldn't possibly have been more accommodating, informative, or kind. Each time we had a question about the area, they answered with pleasure. We received fantastic tips about restaurants and activities -- enjoyed the Fish Soup La Vieille Auberge, enjoyed a boat tour of the Calanques, took a day trip to Marseilles to see the Notre Dame Basilica and Chateau D'If. Ann's english is perfect, and she really helped us get an idea of what we wanted to do while in the area.
We brought our children, and we were very pleased with how kindly they were treated. Miss Claudine is awesome. She really treated us well. I think meeting her was definitely one of our favorite memories, just because she is so nice.
I recommend the property. Enjoy!
