Charming, quiet house in a fabulous location!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I took Le Bus Direct (formerly Les Cars) to the Arc de Triomphe/Etoile stop. We chose to walk to the house, which was probably a bit ambitious after an eight hour flight and with luggage in tow, but otherwise it would not have been a bad walk at all. You can also take the Metro (Line 2 toward Nation) to the Villiers stop, about a ten minute walk from the building.

We were warmly greeted by the owner and shown around the spotless, light and airy house. She familiarized us with the kitchen appliances, television, etc. There is also a very helpful manual that she has compiled explaining their operation. The kitchen was adequately equipped. The beds were very comfortable, and we all slept well. My husband and I both like to read before we go to sleep, and we appreciated the table lamps and wall mounted reading lights on either side of the bed. There are numerous electrical outlets, a hair dryer in the upstairs bathroom and plenty of closet/cupboard and storage space in the bedrooms. It is a perfect space for four adults, as there were in our party. There are narrow, somewhat steep stairs up to the front door (short flight) and down to the ground floor bedroom; however, this was not a problem for any of us. We all found the apartment quite comfortable and charming. ( If there were someone in a group who wished to stay up later and watch television, that could be a problem for the person/people in the upstairs bedroom; I would suggest that the "nightowl" be assigned the ground floor bedroom suite and take their tablet or laptop along and stream movies/television shows.) The area is wonderful. On the corner is Eric Kayser, a very good boulangerie, there is a Franprix a couple of blocks away, a Monoprix at St. Augustin, a short walk away, several chocolate shops, a post office, the delightful Musee Jacquemart-Andre, and many Metro stations and bus stops, several very good restaurants and the beautiful Parc Monceau! You can easily walk to the Arc de Triomphe and to the Madelaine and Place de la Concorde. It is a perfect location for exploring Paris.

We had a lovely stay and would definitely book the house again.

Beautifully Crafted Apartment

  • 5 of 5

What this apartment may lack in space in certain areas is more than made up by neighborhood convenience. It has been beautifully redone creatively utilizing space. The apartment is tastefully decorated and was clean. As the smaller and more able of two couples sharing, we were regulated to the ground floor bedroom which has a very small bathroom. The bed is comfortable, however and sleeping is no problem as street noises are barely detectable. This space might be better reserved for a child. The master bedroom is spacious with an ensuite bath to be envied. Best of all is the wonderful neighborhood and location to so much to see and do. Take bus 94 right out front which takes you to Montparnasse station for an easy day trip to Chartres. From the apartment it is an easy walk to Gare St Lazare. St Augustine church across the street is a must explore. Every morning it was a pleasure to walk to Eric Kayser bakery for the required croissant and bagette. Nothing is better. Our daily walks to Parc Monceau offered great beauty as well as exercise and people watching. It is so renewing to see families enjoying the park. We were able to easily walk to the Grand Magasins, Le Printemps and Galleria Lafayette. Don't miss the panoramic view of Paris from atop Galleria. A week in this apartment is a time to experience comfort, convenience and to feel you are a true resident of Paris. A week just isn't long enough!

Wonderful House!

  • 5 of 5

This house was everything as described, and more! It was nicer than the pictures on the site. It is private and quiet, and yet just blocks away from the action of the Champs-Élysées. We had an amazing time here, and are excited to stay again. The house was clean and well maintained. It was decorated nicely, with personal touches to make you feel at home. Everything you need is at the house, including towels and bedding. There is a grocery store across the street, but more importantly, a bakery about 30 steps away. Check-in and check-out were hassle free. I highly recommend this property. This will definitely be our "go-to" house whenever we are in Paris.

Cleanest Safest Unique & Kind Hostess

  • 5 of 5

Paris was the last place we stayed on our 3 week vacation. Hostess was present when we arrived who gave us a quick review of the apt. This is a very quiet home even though it is on one of the busiest streets in Paris. The home is spotless Has everything you need for cooking. Perfect size for up to 4 people. Downstairs bedroom is small but since we only slept there it really didn't matter. If you go to Disney Paris the shuttle is .06 miles down the street. (Btw. It is a Disney bus not the metro). We walked there is 13 minutes We highly recommend the Poste restaurant to eat, which is to your left about 3-4 blocks away. please sign up and use Uber for the farther distance sites such as the Louvre. We paid 7 euros from the apartment. A taxi charged us 19 euro from the Eiffel Tower which was closer. Uber also ended up being the BEST way back to the airport. exactly 45 euro. 30 minutes. For up to 4 people including our luggage.

We recommend this apt highly if you don't mind walking up steps. Home is basically designed with bedroom on lower level. Walk up a full flight of stairs for kitchen. Walk up another 5 or 6 steps to living room. Then another 5 or 6 steps to the final bedroom and bath. Marie is very very kind and was prompt in returning the deposit before we left.

Beautiful, quite apartment in a great location

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is beautifully designed and equipped and was extremely clean. It is located close to many metro stations, making it easy to get to all the attractions and restaurants closer to the center. The beds are extremely comfortable, making for a good sleep after all the exploring and eating. The owner was helpful, accommodating, and quick to respond to inquiries.

Zentrale ruhige Lage in Paris

  • 4 of 5
