The house of dolls of San Giovanni e Paolo, Venice

Bedrooms Studio
Space 215 sq. ft.
Property type studio
Minimum Stay 4 nights

About the property

Small but extremely cute studio flat

The studio flat is small but imaginative and has all the commodities for a comfortable stay, being furnished with care and affection, it is decorated with typical Venetian and ethnic furniture, because Venice is a mixture of cultures... and the small studio flat wants to abide to this splendid tradition. The locality is in the most typical and enchanting 'sestriere' (one of the six areas in which old cities were divided in the past) of Venice...Castle...The church of San Giovanni e Paolo getting lost in the 'calli' (typical Venetian road), is all an unforgettable experience!

About Alessia Manente

I am a woman fond of culture, music and travel...I like to meet new people from other countries.

Why Alessia Manente chose Castello

The house of dolls is a warm and cosy hut to get to know Venice and gather your own dreams and impressions like in the small house we used to play when we were kids, one step away from the greatest monumental field of Venice, Campo San Giovanni e Paolo.

Although not for this particular property (the one we stayed in is not currently listed), this review is for Alessia, the owner. Alessia is extremely kind, helpful, flexible, accommodating, and fun! She helped with the luggage AND our cat. She indicated many important local features (from nearby restaurants, caffes, supermarkets to exhibits, churches, bookstores, etc) and gave us many insights. For our next trip here (we come frequently), we will be contacting Alessia. She is truly the best hostess who assures that the flat is in perfect shape and that her guests' needs and expectations are met. You will definitely be in good hands with Alessia!

cosy studio in a nice location

  • 5 of 5

The studio is in a nice location (you get a local feeling but still only 10 minutes to St Marco). The studio has plenty of electric outlets to charge all your iphones, ipads, laptops, cameras at the same time. The most important thing is that Alessia (the landlady) is such a nice and helpful person. If you need a friend in Venice, she will be the one. She met me at the ferry stop to go to the studio, helped me with getting a SIM card, and being very flexible with my travel dates. She showed me the way to St Marco, the supermarket nearby, and a nice pizza place just around the corner from the studio. I wish to go back to the studio next time when I visit Venice. Thank you Alessia.

Très agréable séjour

  • 5 of 5

  • 4 of 5

Enjoyable stay!

  • 4 of 5

Small studio central located in a quiet narrow street next to "Campo San Giovanni e Paolo". Just a walking distance to everywhere. If you prefer to use public transportation, "Ospedale" water bus stop is just 5 minutes away from the house. The owner of the studio (Alessia) picked us up and brought us to the appartment. She is very friendly! She showed us the surroundings, supermarkets, recommended places where to eat, etc.

Although it has no microwave or internet, the studio has everything you may need for a short stay in Venice: big fridge, washing machine, towels, bed sheets, hairdryer and also a vacuum cleaner.

Thank you Alessia!! We had a pleasant stay in your studio :-)

Un studio très bien situé

  • 5 of 5
