With a beautiful walk along the characteristic Tiberriver bank (Lungotevere) we can reach in a few minutes the site of "Bocca della Verità" (famous movie spotwhere we suggest to take some photos). Here you can exploit different tours: one option is to walkalong the "Roman Stadium - Circus Maximus" lenght movingon towards the entrance of the "Coliseum and the Imperial Forum"; a second one is to proceed along the Tiber river bank, a route which will easily lead to "Campo de' Fiori", passing just besidesthe characteristic Jewish District.

#THE APARTMENT is a refined work of the "Architectural Cristell & De Andreis", is on the 2nd floor of a building dating back to the end of XIX century and equipped with "elevator".The flat view overlooks the inner courtyard quiet and characterized by a typical old folk Roman style. On the ceiling, the original wooden beams are blended with a contemporary style of colors, light and a sophisticated 'magic of mirrors' making the space unique and bright. Fabulous property/perfect location

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was spotless and had everything one could need. The bed is very comfortable with nice linens and towels. The owner quickly responded to my questions before our arrival and was gratious and welcoming when we got there. They provided coffee, snacks, wine and wonderful desserts. The location is perfect as it is only a 3 minute walk to the metro which is needed after seeing the sights. It is very quiet and the local plaza is charming and all of the neighboring restaurants are wonderful. We highly recommend this lovely home and would stay there again if we get back to Rome. Thank you for helping us have a fabulous experience.

Lovely Apartment

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Italy for a week (2.5 days in Rome) and were so charmed by this location. The location to the bus stop was primo!!! Carlo and Alessandra were the most endearing hosts. They accommodated our belongings even tho we arrived very early. They allowed us to leave our belongings on the last day so we didn’t have to lug them around while we continued to tour Rome. They were so sweet and proud of their home and city. Thank you Alessandro for the wine and snacks. We loved your apartment and hope to stay there again! Ciao!

A Peaceful Apartment

  • 5 of 5

Carlo and Alessandra are so welcoming and genuine that they put us at ease immediately. After a tour of the neighbourhood and an explanation of how everything worked in the lovely fresh apartment, we were left to get on with enjoying our holiday. There were personal touches like fresh flowers and wine in the apartment for us to enjoy. We were given Carlo and Alessandra's contact details in case we needed to get in touch during our stay. I would not hesitate in returning. Testaccio is of historical interest, has a lovely daily market and an abundance of excellent places to eat and drink.

Everything we had hoped it would be and more!

  • 5 of 5

We had never been to Italy, so it was great having a VRBO owner who was responsive to our questions throughout the process. Plus, when we arrived, they were so friendly and accommodating. They did not interrupt us, yet they were available and responded quickly during our stay if we needed clarification or information to enhance our touring. We highly recommend this VRBO experience without any reservations whatsoever. In a word? Great!

A Home Away From Home in Rome

  • 5 of 5

This is a fantastic home base from which to explore the Eternal City - clean, well-appointed and comfortable enough that you can spend your whole trip just hanging out there. The apartment itself is a dream, starting with a great retro cage elevator (important for those with heavy luggage), a fully appointed kitchen and a fabulous walk-in shower. You can throw open one of the many windows and enjoy the view of either a beautiful quiet courtyard on one side or watch the world go by on the shady main street on the other. The location is unbelievably convenient: five minutes away from the Pyramid Metro station, or if you want a romantic walk along the banks of the Tiber, the centre of the city is only 20 minutes away. The best thing about this property however are the owners: Carlo and Alessandra really go the extra mile to make you feel at home. When we arrived, they insisted on showing us the highlights of the Testaccio neighborhood - the best restaurant, which coffee and pastry shop to have breakfast at, and where to buy groceries and supplies (tip: there is a fantastic farmers and artisan's market just one block away). They helped get my luggage delivered after it was delayed, had a plate of cookies ready laid out when we arrived, and were an invaluable source of information on which sites to see and how to get there. We will definitely be staying here when we come back to Rome!

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is exactly what it looks like in the pictures! The neighborhood is walking distance to cafes, restaurants, metro, markets, etc... It is safe and quiet and not too far from the hustle and bustle of the city center. You can easily access all the museums and the coliseum by bus or if you’d like to get your stroll on, it’s 20 minutes away. We were greeted by Carlo and a nice bottle of red wine (picked out by his somellier wife). Carlo met us in front of the building, showed us around the apartment, drove with us to the nearest parking lot to park our car, and spent time with us orienting us on where to eat and must see attractions! He also checked in with us to see how we we’re doing. We are definitely going to stay here again when we come back to beautiful Roma!!! Thank you Carlo!

It takes 20 minutes to reach us by train (FR1) from Fiumicino airport to Stazione Ostiense and about half an hour using Ryan Air bus Shuttle from Ciampino airport using ryan air bus shuttle and 'B' line to Piramide railway station. Metro undergrounbd station “Piramide” is close by and as well by a walking distance is 'Eataly', a food chain specialized in the best Italian quality food products and cooking recipes of typical foods.

From mid-June to aerly September, walking up to Ponts Sublicio, live demonstration of Roman summers 'along the Tiber Roman

For the lovers of nightlife, via di Monte Testaccio (which rounds Monte deiCocci hill) offers several discos and 'movida' and on-fashion nightspots like Alibi, Radio Londra, Caffè Latino.

Besides the Pyramid of CaioCestio you can find another exceptional historical site: the Monumental Protestants Cemetery for Foreigners (mostly English). It dates back to 1716, with the tombstones written in several languages and often with characters engraved with the traits of hand-writing. The setting is all surrounded by centuries-old cypress trees scattered among tombstones of writers, painters, historians and artists.
