Wonderful privacy

This was a great place to unwind after 10 days sailing. It was fun to have the little store nearby for daily fresh groceries.

We would do it again.

Look elsewhere for now…….

There is much to write here, and most is not very favorable. To start with, our unit had no wifi and significant power issues. After 3+ days of going more without power than with, we were moved to another unit the owner has on site. This unit had power and wifi(weak), however throughout the whole main living area/kitchen & front door/all outdoors there was only ONE light that worked.

We found on the next to last day from another owner occupied unit that this owner actually lived onsite. Being able to contact him up to this point was nearly impossible. Had we known he lived there, he indicated he lived in the village a few miles away….we obviously would have been camped on his doorstep until the issues were all fixed immediately. This is nearly a purely French speaking section, including the property and grocery store onsite. The restaurant onsite is English friendly and extremely good, "The Pavillion". We highly recommended eating here, even though it is pricey. It is not affiliated with the rest of the physical property/store. The office manager onsite is useless !!!! So you are stuck with the unit owner, no phone in either unit to call him….and relying on the not always helpful, French speaking grocery store workers to help when they wish to. It was not until the 4th day they stated they would call him on our behalf….really, you were able to do this all along and didn't help out ? Our only means of communication was to send emails, which were answered only with great delay and lacking in building our confidence the issues would be resolved quickly.

In the end, fortunately the payment(see reference to useless office manager, in this case it worked for us) did not get processed properly and I was able to control what amount I was willing to give via my amex card.

We also found out prior guests, very recent ones at that, had many issues of the same.

The unit NEVER should have been rented with the known problems.

As well, I tried to work with the owner even after returning to our home to write a detailed list of issues with each unit and he should absolutely NO interest in this at all….un-real in my mind. This was also a basis for shorting him on the payment, never mind the tangible issues we faced every day there.

There were other issues, but these were the highlights.

Enjoy your stay, but stay elsewhere until you see bookings/reviews from others that point out quality & consistent stays.

tres belle vue, et endroit tres calme

Notre séjour s'est très bien passé,malgré QQ petits dysfonctionnements dans la maison. Tout a été rapporte au propriétaire pour permettre au prochain locataire, de profiter pleinement de la maison.

La vue est magique et la piscine très appréciable de jour comme de nuit, la région oyster pond est pour nous le meilleure endroit pour se reposer.
