Decorated with a modern twist this apartment has all that you could need in a home away from home. When you arrive you’ll find the beds made in the cosy bedroom with flat screen TV. A fully equipped modern kitchen means that you can choose between eating in or enjoying the many restaurants and tearooms at your doorstep. The southfacing living room leads directly out into our walled garden, where you can enjoy a peaceful drink away from the crowds.
"The Garden Flat" is perfectly situated in the heart of the medieval town and just beneath the Chateau of Amboise. Only a stones throw from the excellent restaurants and shops and a five minute walk from the Clos Lucé (Leonardo da Vinci's last residence) this is the ideal place to enjoy your holiday in the Loire Valley! The private walled garden faces south and is wonderful to relax after a day of site seeing.
Spacious apartment in private setting. Clean and well equipped. Close to town and Restaurants and market. I'd highly recommend it for your Loire Valley experience.
We (2 adults and 2 kids) stayed at this apartment in July for 3 nights. The location was so convenient. There was a nice little backyard, and it was surprising quiet although it was in the busy area. It was very comfortable. The owners were very nice too.
Brilliant location in centre of amboise. Was initially worried it might be noisy, but tucked away behind a courtyard and several doors it really wasn't. Apartment has everything you might need and is done to a good finish, the garden had gone a little wild, but with all of Amboise on your doorstep you would be crazy to stay in anyway.
We stayed here for 3 days after a week in another cottage. The apartment was spacious and clean and a well equipped modern kitchen with everything you need (with the exception of cereal type bowls!)
However the Rose Garden is not as per the photos on the website. It is an absolutely disgrace and a jungle of weeds and nettles etc which is such a shame as it would have been nice to be able to relax in after a busy day with a chilled glass of wine.
As per other reviews you cannot fault where it is situated. Little things are missing, compared to other places, we have stayed, such as a welcome information pack i.e. where to throw rubbish away, what time you need to vacate the apartment, suggestions of where to eat, (other than Chez Bruno of course which was closed for the 2 days we where there), as are many of the restaurants on Sunday and Mondays. They also need to dispose of the vast amount of duplicate tourist information pamphlets that have been left by previous guests.
My family of four (2 adults, 2 children) loved this apartment in Amboise. It is beautifully decorated with comfortable beds, a large kitchen space, and in the perfect location. It is located right on a main city-center road making it convenient to everything we needed - restaurants, groceries, travel information, the weekly outdoor market, and parking. But, even though it's on a very bustling street, it is set back in a quaint little courtyard making it surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that there is no clothes dryer. The washing machine was new and perfect but we wished there was a dryer. It rained while we were in Amboise so the humidity made it difficult to get our clothes to dry quickly. Otherwise, this is the perfect place to stay!
This is a comfortable and modern apartment, totally remodeled.
The owners are welcoming and friendly, very helpful with recommendations
and problem solving.
It is on the Main Street of Amboise, though quiet as it is tucked down a small alley away from the street.
Also situated in the lively part of the small town of Amboise. Everything is within walking distance.
I would suggest that the owners supply the apartment with dish towels, dishwasher soap as well as
bathing soap. A second set of towels would be generous if stay is over one week.
I definitely recommend this unit! Enjoy your stay in the Loire Valley!

On the main street of Amboise our apartment is very easy to find. Either by car or by train or why not by bicycle? There is paid parking just opposite the apartment, or free parking 150m away. The rail station is 1 km away.
We have a traditional restaurant just next to the apartment called "Chez Bruno" Where you can taste all the regional specialities, and a vineyard on the outskirts of the town called "Closerie de Chanteloup" where you can taste the excellent wines of the area!
