The cottages proposed for rental are situated in the park of a large private property, 17th Century Catalan Farm, In the vicinity of a medieval village. Property lies between mountains and sea, off the beaten track. Beautiful views and walks. Welcome and safe for children. There is a pool shared by the cottage guests. Nearest beaches at 20 km, the town of Girona at 25km, railway connection to Barcelona five minutes away, excellent restaurants within easy reach.

Distance from Girona airport about twenty minutes drive.

The cottages are surrounded by forest and have a beautiful view of sea and the village of Madremanya. They have extensive terraces with dining table and chairs and deck chairs.

No 1 is very spacious, it has two large bedrooms, one twin-bedded, one double bed with en suite bathroom. There is a well-equiped kitchen and a second WC. A large comfortable living room has a dining area for six.

No 2 is a cosy sunny cottage with a large bedroom with bathroom en suite, a well-equipped kitchen and extra WC. Friendly living room with dining table and comfortable armchairs.

The terraces surround both appartments.

One sunny bedroom cottage with en suite bathroom, living-dining room, separate WC and equipped kitchen leading onto a very large and well-equipped terrace. This cottage suits a couple, alternatively it can be let together with Cottage No 1. The cottages connect via the terraces. There are steps going up.

Food basket is provided on arrival. Cottage No 1 and No 2 share a large utility room with washing machine and bicycle storage.

A Delightful retreat

The property suited us very well. The owners were helpful and discreet.

The location was perfect and to have the use of a pool when too lazy to drive to the beach was a bonus. We often visit this area as we have friends who live here but this was our first time at Mas Caterina. We would love to stay here again.

Charming base in delightful surroundings

Cottage No.2 was well-equipped, spotlessly clean and exceeded our expectations. The large terrace was perfect for breakfasting in the early sunshine and drinking copious amounts of chilled rosé in the evenings. With beautiful gardens, glorious swimming pool (we wished we'd had time to make the most of the great-looking BBQ), extensive woods for walking the dog and stunning views, Mas Caterina is a terrific place.

Très bel endroit

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié ce lieu très agréable,très bien équipée, décorée avec beaucoup de goût et dans une très belle propriété.

L'endroit est très calme, et les environs sont un terrain "de jeux" idéal pour pratiquer la course à pied, le VTT ou la randonnée tout en étant situé à une vingtaine de minutes de la mer.

Madremanya is situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees, at the northern end of a mountain range called 'Les Gavarres' which runs from Girona to Palamos by the sea. The hills are covered in forests of Holm and Cork Oak with undergrowth of Rosemary, Thyme etc. You have the snow covered Pyrenees on one side and views of the sea, Les Isles Medes, to the other side. Madremanya is on a secondary road connecting villages of Bordils and Corça.
