Situated on Boulevard Dubouchage, one of the most beautiful boulevards in Nice (off the main shopping street), the apartment is at the very heart of the city and the perfect location for exploring the Cote D’Azur. Only a short stroll to the Promenade des Anglais, beaches, train station, central bus station, Old Nice and the port, it is also beside the main shopping streets and surrounded by great restaurants, designer shops, art galleries and museums.
The apartment is on fourth floor (with lift) of an elegant bourgeois building and has been newly furnished in French Provencal style and providing wooden/marble floors, high balcony windows, double-glazing, fully equipped separate kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, etc) and all modern amenities including widescreen TV and DVD (incl DVD library). With balconies on both side of the building, the apartment has two outdoor seating areas to maximise sun all-day and all-year long.
Sheltered by the Alps and protected by the Mediterranean, Nice enjoys lovely weather all year round. It has over four million annual visitors taking pleasure in the art and culture of the city including 19 museums (Matisse and Chagall among them), convention centre, three theatres, opera house and symphony orchestra. The train station is only a ten-minute walk from the apartment. This excellent service takes you to all the must-see towns and beaches along the Cote d’Azur.
Boulevard Dubouchage is one two main boulevards off the main street Ave Jean Medicin. It is the hub of all the shopping and cultural activities yet is also beside the Promenade des Anglais and Old Nice and within easy waking distance of the port where you will find great markets, antique shops and busy night life.
Nice is a year-round destination. Spend the summer time at the numerous Nice beaches or other resorts. Spend the winter sightseeing, shopping or skiing in the Alps at Valburg or Auron (less than 2 hours by public transport). There is no need for a car as everything is within easy reach.
‘We thought apartment was lovely and very French – so much nicer than other self-catering places we’ve stayed-in in France. Your kitchen was so pristine we were almost afraid to use it’ …M. Fletcher----'We loved the apartment very much and had a great time'...K. Brown----'We go to Nice a couple of times a year and this is without doubt the nicest apartment we have found and it is also ideal situated for all the things you might want to do. We were also very impressed with the furniture and kitchen and bathroom were both of good quality, something which tends to be unusual in rented places'...K. Burridge----'Your apartment was lovely. It had everything we needed. Thank you for providing us with wonderful accomodation for our holiday'...K. Adegoke
Stayed here for four days Easter 2014 as going to Monte Carlo Tennis Open. There were four adults in the group. The Apt location is great a few minutes walk from main thoroughfare with tram, shops and seafront promenade a stroll away and Gare Thiers only a 10 minute walk for train to Monaco. Apt was clean and tastefully decorated the kitchen was well equipped. The terraces are small but lovely when the sun shone. Would definitely recommend this apt for group or families and intend on staying here again.
We were a group of 5 female friends who came to Nice for a long week-end during Carnival. We had some initial difficulty getting in through the outer gate when we arrived (the code is given on the arrival instructions, but further down the page, under "keys" -which we all managed to miss. However, once inside and in possession of the keys and code, we were very happy with the appartment. The beds were comfortable and the water hot. Add a central position in Nice and you have all you need for a good holiday in Nice. We would book it again.
We stayed here with 3 adults and 3 young adults (mid twenties). We all loved it. The location was very convenient and the neighbourhood was really nice. The apt. had everything you could want (with the exception of wifi) and both the owner and the gal who looked after the property were awesome. Above all, it was very clean which was really important to us. If we ever returned to Nice, we would definitely stay here again.
It was our second apartment rented in Nice ... and apparently the best one so far:))) what we like best is its location and spacious rooms. It is quite quiet. We liked neighbors who would welcome us in pleasant French. We liked the collection of DVDs but in fact didn't have time for watching movies. As the apartment is located in city centre we visited all interesting places on foot. We rented a vehicle in Nice but would drive in only when visiting Cannes, Antibes and Monaco. With this apartment you'd better leave the car and walk. It is neither too far nor too close to supermarkets and restaurants which is really great as food in Nice is so delicious that one has to walk a little bit after a lavish dinner. Very safe for children!
We just returned from our 10 day stay in this aparment and found it to be just exactly as listed. The location is great and there's absolutely no need for a car unless you plan to travel outside of the city where the train or bus system does not go.
All rooms are good size, clean and breezy. Shopping is convenient, too.
It was the perfect place for us and we had two teenagers with us who never even turned to the television the entire time! We would clearly consider renting this apartment again.
We had an excellent visit to Nice in early July and really enjoyed staying in this lovely apartment.
We found it to be superbly appointed, with generously-sized and airy rooms and all the accessories required for a perfect stay. The kitchen is very well fitted out, the bathroom spacious and there are plenty of power points throughout. The lounge is very comfortable, as are all the bedrooms. It accommodated five of us with room to spare.
Its location is superb - high and quiet in an attractive city centre neighbourhood, yet only a few minutes walk from shops, restaurants, public transport and the tourist sights of Nice. It was clean and well presented on our arrival: Alex was particularly welcoming and generous with her useful advice.
The weather was hot and very humid, yet the apartment was never airless. We had a fabulous stay and loved the place - although we were very glad there was a lift!
(It is worth mentioning that, although we occasionally heard the sirens of ambulances attending the nearby hospital, they were much quieter and a lot more discreet than the emergency services here in the UK!)
