The Staggering' Inn is a very comfortable fully equipped rustic cabin on the 18th green on the West Glacier Golf Course and across the street from the river access at West Glacier. Excellent central location to experience Glacier National Park in summer or winter. The cabin is about 2 minutes from the park gates and the beginning of the beautiful 'Going to the Sun' highway. Also - easy access to the Flathead valley lakes, golf, summer recreation as well as skiing the Big Mountain in the winter or cross country skiing in Glacier!

Very quiet and serene location - enjoy sitting out on the deck and gazing at the beautiful surrounding mountains or walk across the road to the Flathead River!

Walk into the cute little townsite of West Glacier for an ice cream after floating the river or golfing 18 holes on the beautiful Glacier View Golf Course surrounded by mountain vistas! Hike Glacier Park and then 'stagger in' to a relaxing cabin with beautiful views all around of the mountains. This is the perfect location for your Glacier Park, Northwest Montana vacation!

The cabin is located on a lot with a lot of trees and greenery affording you privacy as well as much-needed shade in the summer. A very serene and beautiful environment!

Why The Owner chose Glacier Park

We love the Park and I grew up on the Canadian side of Glacier - in Waterton Park.

Nice, quiet, well furnished and as advertised

  • 4 of 5

Nice location close to park and at edge of golf course so very quiet. Well furnished and very comfy for 4-5 people. Basement room is a bit dark but not awful Biggest problem was finding where to turn lights on and several didn't work in the basement room.

Owner's Response: I apologize for that - I found the same thing when I arrived there after you left! Turns out that we needed new light bulbs! Got them all changed and good to go now! 2 burnt out bulbs makes for a very dark room indeed! Thanks!

Nice location at West Glacier

  • 3 of 5

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Check in/out were easy and the location was great, about 1/2 mile from the local store, Canadian park information and a nice restaurant. The place was rather musty when we arrived, but this improved with our stay. I'm guessing it had been empty for a while? The place is for sale and this is evident by how the owners are taking care of the yard, several light bulbs were missing, etc. With a few improvements, this would be a really nice place to spend at Glacier. We just spent our evenings there so it wasn't a huge problem. I slept on the couch in the living room as the downstairs didn't have a bathroom.

40th Anniversary

  • 5 of 5

Staggerin' Inn was perfect for our 40th anniversary celebration. It's situated on the edge of a beautiful golf course, the mountains in the background, and we were able to enjoy the freedom of a private home at the edge of the Glacier NP west entrance. It was comfortable and cozy and provided for all our needs.

A Great Place!

  • 4 of 5

This was a great place to stay in West Glacier. It was a nice, quiet spot on the golf course. It was very close to the park entrance but away from the busy main streets. Miriam was extremely helpful and gave us wonderful advice on places to eat and things to do! We didn't stay long, but it more than met our needs and wants.

Perfect Location for West Glacier... Perfect stay

  • 5 of 5

We spent 4 days at Glacier, and this was the perfect place. SOOOO close you were practically in the park. The house had everything down to a curling iron. (which won't be necessary if you are going hiking like we did) Laundry, cooking, everything except your food. I suggest stopping in Columbia Falls for food. The store in the village is a little pricey, and had a VERY limited selection to choose from.

The house was so comfortable and perfect for our group of 5. GOLF is right there and what a beautiful course.

I would definitely RECOMMEND this home to friends and family. The owner gave great directions and it was a breeze to deal with her.

I recommend going to Apgar Village and enjoying the many activities on Lake Mac Donald. We also loved the hiking at Iceberg Lake across the park. ( a little difficult for those of us out of shape, but worth the hike for sure) We still have lots we want to do in Glacier, so we will be back.

Family vacation in West Glacier at the Staggerin' Inn

  • 3 of 5

The house is in a great location. We had everything that we needed. I just wish it was a little cleaner. The downstairs bedroom had LOTS of spiders!! The dishes all needed rewashed before we used them. The fridge had a lot of old food left in it which was kinda gross. The grass needed mowing. Please don't get me wrong, Overall it was a good stay. Much better than a motel. The owner responded to my questions in a timely manner and was always very nice. I would recommend this house just needs a little touching up.

Owner's Response: I would like to note that it is always our goal to offer the cleanest and sanitary stay available and always ensure that all dishes, linens, surfaces etc are clean. I am dumbfounded at the comments about washing dishes and spiders! I can assure you that I was in the house after your departure to be sure that this was not the case! As the the refrigerator - we do leave condiments in there since we have had others request that staples are left so they do not have to purchase the basics when they fly in for their stay at the Park. Anything perishable is always removed and discarded. The lawn is mowed on a regular basis but there was a glitch that week in getting someone there for that mowing - sorry about that. Since then - it has barely grown due to our drought! Glad you enjoyed the location. It really is a great little cabin in Glacier Park that we take pride in keeping clean.
