Great apartment to stay in especially for larger groups
This apartment was a wonderful find and Joao was very helpful from beginning to end . The apartment is very spacious and was perfect for our group of four people. The lounge and dining area was ideal for getting together to plan our days and the location was perfect for seeing lisbon as near to everything. Highly recommended.
Fabulous, spacious apartment . Well equipped kitchen and a great location.
Great stay in Lisbon!
Wonderful apartment centrally located in the city, near all commodities and historic center. The house is very spacious, very stylish , clean and nicely furnished . We were a family of 4, but the apartment could have easily accommodated 4-6 people more. Many restaurants in the Alfama are available within walking distance .
We would definitely come again for our next stay in Lisbon, which will happen soon we hope!
Beautiful apartment - we'll come back!
This apartment was perfect for us - it is as gorgeous as the pictures suggest, super spacious and bright. The kitchen was very well equipped, the 3 bathrooms are very modern - two have a shower, one has a bath & shower.
The location of the apartment was also perfect, we had access to nice little bars and coffeeshops, typical restaurants with outdoor terraces and we had minimarkets as well as the metro nearby. We'll definitely come back there next time we visit Lisbon!
It was the perfect size for our group, very comfortable with everything you could need
Joao was a very amanable host. Answered all questions. The apt was convenient to everywhere. Loved it
Beautful, well located apartment....with a catch!
Beautiful apartment in great location. Manager very helpful with instructions and setting up drivers. Would normally give 5 stars plus, but you should be aware that there is huge construction project immediately behind the apartment (ie. 10 feet). If you get up early and are out and about all day, then you should be fine. The project is finishing the demolition stage and I do not know when the rebuild will begin... but that will be a nightmare. I am truly shocked that this was not revealed to me at any time prior to my arrival. I strongly advise you to request photos and update on the construction prior to booking. I would be happy to provide photos and videos with sound if possible. Again, the apartment is great, but I believe there should be a partial refund due to the inexplicable failure to disclose adjacent demolition. However, my request seems to have fallen on deaf ears. I would avoid this apartment until construction is completed.
The guest who made this review ( unfortunately it's a revenge) , sent me one Saturday morning, 2 photos taken from the kitchen window, with 2 men allegedly performing a repair in a backyard next to the apartment, asking me simultaneously money, in case I wanted to keep the level of reviews that I had. (this is recorded in the exchange of emails made between me and this guest on the site) which I refused immediately, because I had nothing to hide,.
I don´t know whether or not there was noise, but even if there was a noise (I´m really sorry for it), I have no responsibility for anybody doing work on a Saturday, once goes against Portuguese law, which prohibits any sound works over the weekend and holidays, what was explained to the customer.
Regarding the building that is in construction, it is about 50/55 feet away from the room and not 10 feets as mentioned and the works already started in June and continue to run, without any disturbing noise coming from this work in the apartment, even because, for each window, there are 2 double windows in the rooms.
If I had agreed to pay this review as this guest wanted, the supposed concern that he showed for possible future guest reservations, would not even have existed.
To conclude, the reviews I had and have after the arrival and departure of this customer from the apartment , are the best answer .
You have a wide selection between the traditional restaurants, where comes the tune of Fado from, and their tables on the corner of the streets or on a small square. Or you can choose the trendy and elitist restaurant area of the Docas of Jardim do Tabaco. Seafood, fresh fish, typical dishes or renowned pizzeria as well as a gourmet grocery store are expecting you on their terraces on the river bank.
Any kind of traditional grocery shops, crafts shops and small antiquary invite you to enter the medieval lane of Alfama where people still talk from one window to another.
EASY! You just have to follow the indications to find the Santa Apolónia station, and in the inner street, parallel to the Tagus, you turn to the Museum of Fado. Just before the square of the museum, which also has a restaurant with a terrace, the building is there, imposing, with its windows with french balconies and its façade covered with blue and white traditional azulejos.
