We very much enjoyed our stay - it is a beautiful spot and the property is kitted out perfectly. Mr R. from Wiltshire
We had a brilliant holiday with fantastic weather. We couldn't fault anything about the house and its surroundings. We did nothing but swim and enjoy ourselves. Family S. from Hertfordshire.
Brilliant! It was an ideal family holiday. We are a family of 2 Adults & 2 children aged 14 & 10. The accommodation was bigger than what I was expecting. The swimming pool was right on our doorstep, and even though it was a communal pool it was fairly quiet and kept very clean. The property itself had everything we needed , even wifi , which we were'nt expecting!
The owner was very quick to respond to any questions that I had & was very helpful. I would definately recommend this property to anyone.
The property was even better than shown in the photos. The 4 outside spaces meant we all had space to chill out and the back terrace from the kitchen was lovely and cool in the evenings surrounded by nature. It had everything we could possibly need, even nice fluffy towels, beach stuff and a docking station. It was spotless when we arrived and all communication was effortless and friendly. Its a lovely small community which feels quiet and friendly, yet is right in the middle of the small resort. The restaurant at the end of the road was also excellent, with a menu of the day and evening and fantastic wood fired BBQ. Thank you Adrian.
We loved this place. It was really well equipped, comfortable and clean. The location was really quiet when we were there and we had the pool to ourselves the whole time. The houses are terraced but the design with your private area in front and the overhanging balcony make it feel more private than you might expect.
The stunning beach is only a short walk away but there are a lot of steps and so you need to be mobile to be able to get there. We also found the restaurants (jap bar just down the bottom of the road and Romani beside the Spar) offered incredibly good value for money. For a beautiful steak try Copas right on the beach!
The island of Menorca exceeded our expectations. We did not hire a car but used local buses to visit Cuitadella and Mahon both of which were well worth the trip.
The owner and maintenance staff have done all they could to make our two-week stay very enjoyable. The owner was very responsive to our enquiries since our initial bookings and indeed replied within a few hours. Also the maintenance man attended to a few faults within the property very quickly. The kitchen indeed was well equipped and all rooms were found to be clean on our arrival. We have been to a few beaches around the island but rated Arenal as the best for its crystal clear water and clean beach. Mahon and Cittadella are a must. For a meal out we'd recommend Alcalde just down the road from the property, which offers good food and excellent WIFI connectivity.
Peaceful nd quiet surroundings with a lovely pool area. The villa was very well equipped with every convenience. Pots pans and cutlery plentiful and in
excellent condition. Good reasonably priced restaurants nearby very Family
orientated. Bit of a trek down steps to beach, but well worth it. Beautiful beach
and crystal clear sea.
We enjoyed our stay and reccomend the area to anyone with small
Right from our first enquiry the owner was very helpful and answered all our questions quickly and thoroughly, a real pleasure to deal with.
The property was very well maintained and very clean. The owner has thought of all the little touches that make it easy to feel relaxed and at home, from outdoor candles to fans and even freestat tv! We also loved the balconys all around the property, upstairs and downstairs and having the overhanging balcony at the front made this area shady for most of the day and also quite private.
We all loved the pool and felt the whole area was beautifully landscaped and quiet, this said the beach is only a 5 minute walk away.
The good thing about a self-catering house like this is that you can cook in, which we did a few nights but also there are many different types of restaurants and bars; our favourite was next to the Spar on the way down to the beach, very relaxed and great views out to the bay.
The children loved going out on the pedalos and diving in and doing snorkeling, the water was warm, even in the evening, perfect!
During our stay we visited Cala Galdana, lovely beach with pedalos, which gets very busy, Ciutadella, a beautiful town and Mahon too where you can get a glass bottom boat ride. We also went to some other smaller beaches which were usually down narrow roads but worth it when you got there!
I would definitely recommend this holiday home to a friend, it is an ideal location for seeing this lovely island and a great base to come back to at the end of the day!
Arenal D'en Castell is a quiet, friendly family resort on the north side of the beautiful island of Menorca. The superb beach, one of the best in the Balearics, is wide and sandy set in a horseshoe bay, protecting it from the ocean whilst still giving magnificent view over the open sea. There are many bars and restaurants to suit every taste and pocket. Families are welcome at all venues throughout the resort. A range of shops and supermarkets, open long hours, provide holidaymakers with their holiday needs. The resort has a doctor's surgery and pharmacy. Regular buses run to the capital Mahon with its many shops and beautiful harbour. Car hire is available locally. The island's only golf course is at Son Parc, the next resort along the coast from Arenal. The island is designated a 'Biosphere' thus protecting the environment. Buildings are, in the main, low-rise. There is an amazing variety of wild flowers and birds on view.
