Minutes to Manhattan In Boerum Hill, BK: Modern, Comfy, Cool & Spacious 2nd flr
About Noreen O'Donnell
If I can combine a trip and a U2 concert...well, that's a done deal! I'm a rarity – a Born n'Raised Brooklyn Girl...and I'm happy to provide tips on the popular and arcane! Growing up, going to Broadway shows was a major plus! I'm a holistic healer (Eden Energy Medicine) as well as a Writer/Creative Director with personal focus on spiritual exploration/development. Big fan of delicious bold red wines...and/or a crisp, icy pint. I love people...the stories they hold, the laughs and insights that we inevitably share...I kinda run my home like a b'n'b for dear friends and family, so I thought, hey, why not extend the circle (and help pay for my next adventure...) I'm a passionate traveler and animal-lover in-between pets at the moment.

Why Noreen O'Donnell chose Brooklyn
As I mentioned, I'm a Born n' Raised Brooklyn girl, but I had the opportunity to purchase 'the worst house on the best block' and I did it! I got to do a complete gut on the house and enjoyed a really fulfilling creative project as a result. This part of Brooklyn is just incredible — while it offers a respite from the intensity of Manhattan, it offers its own vibrancy and sophistication, with a delightful blend of neighborly friendliness.
What makes this Apartment unique
I love that we're steps from the subway for the ease of getting into Manhattan, and I really love that it's not necessary to go there! Amazing shops, museums, galleries and restaurants surround us!

Wonderful Apartment in Great Location!
We stayed in Kathy’s Quarters for one month and it was so hard to leave! It’s extremely spacious and was perfect for us with our one year old. The location is also wonderful with tons of restaurants, shops, and bars nearby. Lots of subway and bus options too! I highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
Brooklyn is great, this place makes it greater
My wife and I have been traveling to NYC for years; we've narrowed down our stays to Brooklyn to "get away from the big city" across the river but to also keep its availability close by. We've stayed at lots of places in Brooklyn. What's not to like? Noreen's place in Boerum Hill is among the best yet. Let's start with Noreen: great communicator who makes everything easy, convenient and pleasant. With a couple of emails and texts, she greeted us upon arrival; and we knew she was nearby cuz she lives downstairs. Our second-floor (walkup) Brownstone has been nicely maintained. Noreen has kept it updated with new windows and screens. There's a nice living area in front with plenty of light; a dining area; complete kitchen, full bath and two great bedrooms (with a great mattress in the master) with lots of closet space in both. There's a washer and dryer in the unit. We never felt cramped. The entire home is very clean, including hallways, etc. outside the apartment. This location is within walking distance to virtually everything one could need, from bars and restaurants, to great deli's and coffee houses; from small bodegas on the corner to a Trader Joe's; ATMs abound; pharamacies nearby; and, if you want to go to Manhattan, the subway there is just around the corner. You won't go wrong here. We will be back.
Noreen was an amazing and very pleasant host. There were two very minor issues and they were immediately tended to.
The location is amazing;subway lines are close and anything you could possibly need is within arm's length.
The apartment was immaculate when we checked in. There were towels aplenty and the washer/dryer in the unit was a nice convenience.
It was a quiet neighborhood, close to everything we needed
My family and I enjoyed Brooklyn. The subway was close and just a short ride to Manhattan. We walked also enjoyed just walking. It had a few close playgrounds. Which my two boys loved.
The apartment was two nice sized rooms and bathroom. With a good living room and kitchen.
Enjoyed everything, and the host was easy to get contact.
The apartment was perfect for our holiday and exactly as described.
The apartment is fully equipped and ideally located near subways and local shops/restaurants. Noreen was the perfect host, extremely helpful but not intrusive.
Very nice appartment
I's a nice cosy appartment. You feel at home and relax.
Noreen is very nice, and helps with everything.
We can only recommend this place warmly.
Our apartment is on a friendly, quiet block that provides easy parking and is located around the corner from the Bergen St stop on the F train and all that Smith Street offers. It's also 15 minutes from Manhattan and the best of Brooklyn: Prospect Park, the Promenade, Brooklyn Museum, with the beaches of Coney Island and more just a little further.
You can easily enjoy a walk along Brooklyn's Promenade with its unparalleled view of Manhattan or enjoy the view as you walk TO or FROM Manhattan over the Brooklyn Bridge. It's about 15 minutes from the house!
With the F train around the corner, you're in the city in 10 minutes or less and midtown in 25. But if you decide to explore the 'hood, you get all of the hip with none of the hassle. Enjoy an urban and urbane environment of boutiques, cafes and tree-lined streets. I find it the perfect place to relax after buzzing around Manhattan!
