Located on a hill with a splendid view of the Loire Valley (over 25km), Le Clos de Venise is an ancient 5ha property where one of the best Vouvray wines is produced. Le Petit Venise, the adjacent building, has been environmentally-friendly restored into a gite, preserving its "old" charm but with modern equipments and decoration. Come and relax in the typical atmosphere of Touraine, in a preserved and unique environment. Le Clos de Venise, about 100m away from the village centre, is bright, environment-friendly (cellulose wadding insulation, solar hot water and heating system and natural stones) and equipped to the highest standard. From the ground floor, with all the rooms opened up, you will find a staircase with a corridor leading to the mezzanine bedrooms and shower rooms. This non-smoking gite offers top-of-the-range services for the most demanding costumers interested in French tradition and heritage. Come and discover the "Jardin de la France" (Garden of France) area.

Great Property in a Perfect Location!
Five of us (my wife and I, our daughter, her husband and our 18-month old granddaughter) stayed here for nine nights in October, from the 8th though the 17th. We had, of course, seen all of the pictures online, but when we arrived Sunday afternoon we were amazed at just how beautiful both the house and the location were in reality.
The owners were out of the country during our visit, so we were told to contact the housekeepers, Jacky and Michèle, to gain access. The housekeepers don’t speak English, but my daughter speaks French so that worked out fine. The two of them left us with homemade jam, vegetables from their garden and the owners, Francine & Claude Bobet had left two bottles of wine for our enjoyment.
The weather for the most of the trip fully cooperated, with temperatures in the mid to high 70’s with blue skies. Because of Cora (granddaughter) needing afternoon naps, we would come back to the house around 3:00 most afternoons and sit outside enjoying the sun and the gorgeous view from the terrace while Cora napped. We generally ate lunch out and then cooked dinner at home (great kitchen, and well supplied). There’s a large supermarket just about 3 kilometers away on the road to Vouvray, as well as a small market just a short walk from the house. And if you have kids, the resident sheep in the adjoining pasture - named "Baa" by Cora - is very friendly and will come running whenever you stroll down to the fence.
From Noizay it’s an easy drive to several of the chateaux, and we even made a trek to Sancerre (about 2-1/2 hours) to buy wine, have lunch and taste at a couple of the wineries. We went to the Market in Amboise that’s held on Sundays, and had a terrific time visiting the stalls - the marketplace is huge, and great to wander through.
All in all, we couldn’t have picked a nicer spot for our first visit to the Loire Valley. Highly recommend this house!
Thanks a lot for this wonderful rating. We should have appreciated to meet you in order to speak with you about wine (you seem to be great connaisseurs !) and all touristic resources of the Loire Valley.
All that information will be useful for future guests and we are very grateful that you took time for writing it.
All our best wishes for the new year.
We will be very happy to welcome you for a second visit to the Loire Valley.

A Haven in the Loire Valley
Clos de Venise is a truly lovely place to stay in the glorious Loire Valley. The house is warm - very important in December - very comfortable, beautifully appointed and located in a fabulous location. Claude and Francine are tremendous hosts - warm, friendly, welcoming and keen to help us enjoy our holiday. We spent a happy relaxing time here and visited a few of the enchanting Chateaus in the region.

Full of character. Immaculate, beautiful, peaceful, quiet, comfortable. Absolutely perfect.
A very special house on a beautiful and peaceful property. Gorgeous gardens around the house and immaculate lawns with a vineyard at front and back of yard. Bicycles for use to explore local village. Lovely and welcoming hosts, Claude and Francine.
Great location with castles and historic villages within driving distance. Friendly sheep without a name. Our kids called him Tommy. Heaps of space for family of seven. Bright, full of daylight with big doors opening onto yard.
Even better then in photos! Perfect.
A beautiful house, superb setting, charming hosts
Le Clos de Venise is an exceptional property. The house is beautiful, extremely comfortable and equipped with everything you might need for your stay. We enjoyed every minute of our week there. The setting in the vineyard is superb. Note that the resident sheep is very friendly and likes to have a pat when you pass by on your way to buy the breakfast croissants at the little village epicerie. Claude and Francine are wonderful hosts – the nicest couple, friendly, informative about the region and its history, interesting to have a chat with and extremely generous with their wonderful wine, fresh produce from their vegetable garden and home-made jam, all greatly appreciated and devoured. Thank you to you both. We will look back on our stay at Le Clos de Venise with very warm memories and we hope to return in the not too distant future.
Many thanks again for your so kind appreciation. We are very pleased when our guests want to come back again !
Good end of stay in France and Spain and good return to Australia.

Unqualified comfort and class!
This is absolutely 5*......a glass of wine in the garden on a balmy afternoon.....close to chateaux, markets, yet far from the maddening crowds.
A perfect cottage in an ideal location.
Our party comprised myself and my wife together with myin-laws and my wife's cousin who had flown in from Canada, we stayed at Le Close de Venise for one week at the end of June 2017.
We were all very impressed with the cottage and couldn't have asked for more. We all really loved it!
The cottage is an old property with plenty of charm that has been tastefully renovated to a very high standard and was perfect for our party of five.
Noizay is an ideal location for exploring the Loire Valley. We visited Amboise, Blois, Chaumont, Chambord Azay-le-Rideau, Chenonceau and Cheverney, all within easy reach.
Francine and Claude were were perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome. They were kind enough to invite us all to their house; we had a very enjoyable evening which included a tour of the wine cellar. Claude is a real wine buff and obviously passionate about the subject - thank you for a lovely evening and thank you very much for the wine and jam.
All in all we had a wonderful holiday made even more memorable for staying at Le Close de Venise.
Thank you Francine & Claude,
Paul, Helen, Margaret, Phil and Hilary.
