The apartment is located 2 steps away from St Suplice, in the Saint Germain des Près area, near restaurants and fancy shops. It is very comfortable, at the upper floor. Double orientation: East and West. Open outlook. Little terrace with view of the roofs of Paris and historical sites. All Parisian transports are nearby (subway, buses, RER, bikes, trains etc). The rental is exclusive for 2 people.
What a comfortable and very pleasant week we spent in this roomy, light-filled, and very attractively decorated apartment. Located near the Luxembourg Gardens, one and a half blocks from the St Sulpice Metro, it is an ideal spot to enjoy all that Paris has to offer.
For one's convenience, there are good restaurants, grocery stores, two boulangeries, an épicérie, and more nearby. Also, the property manager is very helpful if any questions or concerns arise.
The beds are comfortable, there are two clean and nicely appointed bathrooms, and the kitchen has all that one needs to prepare a meal. From every room one has views looking out over the rooftops and beyond to Sacré Coeur, St Sulpice, the Pantheon etc
We want to return as soon as possible!
This was our second visit to this lovely apartment. Our first review emphasized how the apartment was decorated to be a home, and, indeed, a very special home. The decoration alone would have brought us back. But there are so many other things that make this apartment a treasure. The view in on direction of the towers of Saint-Sulpice with the towers of Notre Dame echoed in the background and in the other direction of the upper third of the Eiffel Tower. The convenience of two nearby Metros. The proximity of Luxembourg Gardens, Saint-Germain and its shopping, Montparnasse, Odeon, the Raspail Sunday market and countless very good restaurants, while at the same time being located on a quiet street in an excellent well maintained building.
We would not want to stay anywhere else.
My husband and I stayed in Olga’s lovely apartment for two weeks. It is even more charming than its pictures. The kitchen is supplied with everything we needed. The cooktop with two induction burners, and stove was entirely sufficient for us. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We enjoyed having two bathrooms and the washer. There are ingenious locations for drying clothes which the manager can show you. The electric screens that can be lowered to darken the rooms at night are perfect for those of us who prefer a dark room for sleeping. The temperature was in the high 80’s the weeks we were there, and the A/C was quite adequate. There is also a nice breeze through the apartment which is at the seventh floor level.
The apartment is ideally located for seeing Paris via Metro stops and by foot. Grocery stores, restaurants, and bakeries are nearby. The property manager, Marie, is knowledgeable and prompt, and she is easily reached at the manager’s office on the first floor.
This was our third trip to Paris and we would happily return to Olga’s apartment.
We just returned from a week in Paris, and the pleasure of staying in Olga's beautifully appointed, comfortable and spacious apartment, with two bathrooms, stunning views, extremely comfortable bed, best linens. The neighborhood was beautiful, safe, with nearby Metro and walking distance from many major sites. It was only a 15 minute walk to the Seine. Now that we have experienced her lovely place we can't imagine spending a week in a small hotel room. Everything about the experience, from the first booking inquiry to our final goodbye to Marie Dos Santos, the concierge, (who was watching for us and welcomed us the minute we came down the street) was easy and pleasurable. We had all the comforts of home, in a magical setting and definitely hope to be back!
Olga was wonderful to work with and communication with her was excellent -- she travels some, so sometimes it would be a few days before I'd get a response but she was always helpful, polite and a perfect hostess to assist in getting our rental set up with her.
The apartment itself is incredible. It's high enough in the building (with an elevator) so you have views of St Sulpice, Notre Dame, the Pantheon and Sacre Coeur (in the distance) from the terrace and there's a small view of the Eiffel Tower out of the other side of he apartment -- not sure how you could ask for much more. The two bedrooms were great to have -- one with a queen bed, the other with a twin, but the two bathrooms were even better. I took the one with a shower, my wife took the larger one with a bath tub. By American standards, the bath tub, shower and sinks will be small, but for Paris it was a luxury to have so much space. The washing machine in the smaller bathroom was great to have as well since we were there for two weeks, but it's worth noting you need to drip/hang dry your clothes since there isn't a dryer.
We were there in the middle of the summer and the air conditioning worked great and was really a necessity (we're from Texas and no one here can handle a summer without A/C, even when the temps are just in the mid-80's).
The kitchen, dining and living areas were great too -- we can't think of anything negative to say, it was just a perfect place for us.
Madame Santos, the building manager, was wonderful too. She was so sweet and willing to help us with anything we needed.
The area is great too. Rue Cannettes, just a couple of blocks away, had great restaurants and shops -- look for Alfredo Positano, Chez Fernand and Chez Bartolo for meals and Dandy/Divine Parisian to shop. All of Paris has tourists, but Rue Cannettes has a lot of locals that go there for meals too, so it's not "touristy" in a bad sense.
You can walk all over Paris from Olga's apartment and the Metro stop is just a couple of blocks away. There are two groceries stores within a block and you'll find anything else you need nearby too.
I can't say enough good things about our stay here. We loved it and are looking forward to staying there on our next trip to Paris.
Olga's apartment was our home for a couple of weeks early this summer. We've rented apartments in Paris a dozen times and it is by far the best. The location is primo. Luxembourg gardens is a 5 minute walk as is the Grand Epicerie where we got dinner or picnic. The G20 grocery is 2 minutes away and a lovely boulangerie is just around the corner. Metro and bus stops are close as well. The apartment is just gorgeous. Beautifully decorated and so comfortable. It is nice to have TWO bathrooms with toilets. You can see Sacre Coeur and St Sulpice from the beautiful terrace where there is lavender and jasmine planted. There is a view of the Eiffel tower from the large windows on the other side of the apartment. I definitely will try to stay here on our next trip to Paris.
