Fokis Villa Rental Photos and Description

A small Greek island, a village with just 3 tavernas and on the other side of the island, a dream villa by the water: not a single motor noise, the absolute calm and quiet place!

The house is beautifully built around a traditional patio, uniquely decorated with French and Mediterranean gusto and has a 1 ha garden by the sea. It even has its own little 'private' beach (no beach is totally private in Greece). The house is eco-friendly, using solar energy, and offer all modern comfort. It is situated 1.5 km away from the village, where you?ll find all amenities, including wi-fi access.

A caretaker is available on site to help you get by the island, make sure you feel at home in the house and assist you all your errands, from planning a day-trip to organizing food supplies trips from to the nearest town of Nafpaktos.

The scenery, the house, the calm and quiet and the service will make your next holidays the most relaxing family and friend time you have ever had!

Un lieu d'exception...

Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable dans cette immense villa, le calme de la terrasse qui donne sur la mer et les oliviers est propice à la convivialité comme au repos, le patio fleuri donne un air d'hacienda ! Le séjour cuisine très fonctionnel est très frais et très agréable en été. Nous avons apprécié que la propriété s'étende jusqu'à la mer dans un espace privé. Le propriétaire est disponible et de bon conseil pour faciliter le séjour (courses, déplacement et même sortie en bateau...) ce qui est précieux ! Le petit port typique de Trizonia est à 20 min à pied. Peu de tourisme sur cette île fréquentée essentiellement par les grecs. C'est un endroit idéal pour des vacances en groupe au calme, loin des trépidations de la vie moderne, les enfants ont également investi avec beaucoup de bonheur ce lieu, pêche, baignade, plongée...

Nous y retournerons sans doute !

Situation, Paysage et Villa exceptionnels

Tout conduit ici à un séjour de rêve.. La mer est omniprésente à moins de 100 mètres de la villa, Celle-ci est vaste et très confortable.. avec ses chambres ouvrant sur le patio entourant la cour intérieure.. son grand salon accueillant, la terrasse ombragée. pour la sieste, la lecture ou encore les repas pris face au golfe de Corinthe.. Et bien sur toutes les activités de la Mer, sportives (plongée, pèche, voile,..) ou de détente.. plage(s) pratiquement privées ou encore les ballades dans l'île au milieu des oliviers ... Sans oublier le village de Trizonia et son port,à quelques 20 minutes de marche avec ses tavernes locales et leurs spécialités.. Je recommande la salade de poulpes (Octopus) et, bien sur, les poissons grillés .. et tous les "mézés"... plusieurs plats où chacun "pioche" ce qui lui plaît.. très agréable pour gouter à tout... Tous ces plaisirs loin du bruit et de l'agitation.. Un vrai régal! Sur l'île, les véhicules ne sont, en principe, pas autorisés, sauf quelques uns pour le nécessaire, dont celui qui transporte les bagages jusqu'à la villa. et aussi les passagers ..mais la ballade à pied est agréable. Possibilité d'escapades sur les sites historiques de la région ( Ruines de Delphes, Péloponnèse, etc) et s'il reste du temps Athènes à 250 K ms environ... Mais on est si bien, là!!! Un séjour inoubliable, tout simplement..

Situated between Delphi and Patras on the North side of the Corinth Gulf, Trizonia is the only inhabited island of the Gulf. You can see the house of Google Earth with the following coordinates: 38° 21' 49 23'' N and 22° 04' 04 27'' E.

From Athens, take the motorway to Corinth, then Patras. A few km before Patras, take the impressive Rion-Antirion bridge and turn right in the direction of Galaxidi-Delphi. Trizonia is about 35km from the bridge. Alternatives means of transportation include rental cars, taxis, or buses. For that last option, go to the bus terminal of Kifissou Ekato and take a regular bus to Nafpaktos or Antirion. From there a taxi will take you to Glifada, where small boats are crossing to Trizonia village in 5 minutes.

From England and Germany, there are direct flights to Patras. From there a taxi is probably the easiest way to get to GlifadaTrizonia.

The house is 1.5km from the village: a mere 20-minute walk for the bravest. A vehicle is available for the others.

  • The four bathrooms are all personalized: the en-suite master one is made of exotic wood from Africa. The downstairs bathroom has a gigantic bath-tub where three children can fit easily at the same time. The bathroom from the first house is covered in oriental hand-made tiles and the one from the second house is decorated in ochre colours. All bathrooms have hot water.

  • The house has 6 bedrooms. In the main house, the master bedroom has a bow-window with sea-view, a king-size bed and a en-suite bathroom with shower and WC. On the ground floor, a big bedroom with a giant bunk-bed (270 cm-wide) is perfect for the children. The downstairs bathroom has a big bath tub and WC. In each one of the two smaller houses around the patio, there are two bedrooms sharing a shower room and WC. Each room is uniquely decorated with bright colours and paraphernalia brought back by the owners from their trips around the world.

Notes:
The house is eco-friendly as it is creating its own electricity with solar panels. To allow for modern comfort a power generator is located close to the house and is used to run the dishwasher and washing machine, only a few hours a day. The caretaker will manage all of these technical considerations for you as well as all the logistics in dealing with food shopping at the nearest town. All you will have to do is discuss the shopping list and go back to your holidays activities.
