GREAT SNOWBIRD RATES

Completely redone - cabinets to be done this fall. Comfortable 1 bedroom plus Bunks in the hallway and sleeper sofa in Family room. Unit sleeps 6! Fully stocked kitchen. Both Master bedroom and Family room have TVs. DVD in the living room. Full 24 hour service desk.

Indoor and outdoor pool. New to the property is a fun Splash Pad! Outside hot tub and inside fitness area with hot tub and sauna. Family friendly with many attractions within walking distance.

The view is unbeatable. We are a direct gulf unit on 10th floor. Wake-up to the ocean breeze and view on your balcony.

Excellent location with an ocean view

Perfect place for our "home base" while exploring the Destin area. Everything we needed was supplied so we could focus on having fun instead of being concerned with clean linens, pot & pans, and most important - A Working Coffee Pot. We will be back and would highly recommend to anybody.

It didn't hurt we left 10 degree snowy weather either!

Great Vacation Spot!

I had a wonderful time on my vacation! The condo was a great location and well-maintained. Starting the morning off with coffee on the balcony looking out over the ocean was amazing! I loved that the condo was stocked with essentials so we didn't need to constantly run to the store. It made for more time enjoying the beach!! I would definitely stay here again and have recommended it to several friends too.

Wonderful stay!

We spent our second February in this unit . Again we had a wonderful time. We did most of our meals in and the cooking was easy because the kitchen has everything you would need to cook meals. The outdoor furniture is very comfortable and it was enjoyable to watch the dolphins, golf, and beautiful sunsets. The master bed is very comfortable! SunDestin has so much to do that you don't need to go anywhere . Yet, it is close to so many attractions. Terry was great to work with.

Amazing Views! Wonderful Stay

We stayed at unit #1008 at SunDestin in early January (1/2/16-1/9/16). We were pleasantly surprised. The unit was clean and well stocked. The views from the balcony were incredible. We saw dolphins many mornings.

SunDestin offers so many activities we were never at a loss of what to do! In addition to the onsite activities, the bay was just a few minutes away. We also traveled to the Silver Shells Outlet mall. I would stay at this unit again - but stay for the entire month!

Needs Attention

For the last 15+ years, Sundestin has been our traditional Christmas gathering place for our family and extended family. This condo, upon entering, had a peculiar odor but during our quick inspection seemed to be clean. When the rental company called, we reported several noticeable concerns. Paint on the kitchen walls was chipping and showed several stains, electrical plates in the kitchen and living room did not cover large holes behind them and of course, there was the odor. However, after a week's stay, other concerns emerged. The front door did not always shut securely, the bathtub shows rust and staining and gives the appearance of being dirty. The dishes in the cabinet were put away dirty (some even had food on them), there was not enough cooking equipment to cook a meal and the skillets had the Teflon peeling off. In the living room the sleeper sofa was stained and dirty and the springs of the mattress poked through the sheet, making for very uncomfortable sleeping, there were no blankets for the beds (thank goodness, we had some in our vehicles) and the DVD/VCR did not work.

On the plus side, the view is outstanding and the patio furniture was a plus, as was the convenience of the keyless entry. The bunks were roomy and surprisingly, the mattresses very comfortable. This unit has great potential, but is in need of attention and updating.

As a side note, I found the owner easy to work with, however, my request for a call to me, so that we could discuss these concerns, has not been answered. For all the above reasons, we give this unit a "Fair" rating.

Owner's Response: I am disappointed the guest did not discuss these matters with me personally. I was in town during the time she visited the property. I had contacted her PRIOR to any complaints being issued by her and let her know I was in town and would appreciate visiting the unit and seeing if there was anything that needed my attention. In particular, I was working with a local furniture store to resolve issues with the sleeper sofa. She responded that it was inconvenient for her and her guests to have me stop by but did respond by sending pictures I requested of the sofa. There was no mention of any issues with the property. I was staying at my other property in the area and talked with the property management, they did not mention any concerns had been identified with the current guest. I carry a yearly maintenance agreement with the property and they are in the unit within 24 hours when there is an issue such as the front door, odors, etc. The cleaning service also guarantees a return when they are informed. In closing, all of the issues would have been handled immediately if we were notified. When the guest returned home and contacted me, my response was 'I would welcome your comments'. She failed to contact me. There are times when the unit needs attention after a busy season - as an owner, I take pride in my property and assure my guests that reasonable issues will be addressed immediately. In this case - cleaning, blankets, DVD, dishes, mattress, supplies would have been handled within the day. I had the following items in my car to update the unit: A complete set of new pots and pans. Additional kitchen items such as steak knives, teapot, hot pads and trivets to restock the unit after a busy summer/fall season. I am proud of my unit and disappointed the guest did not utilize services available to assure her stay was up to her expectations and enjoyable.
