Attractive furniture lends a Caribbean feel and with the ocean views and the sound of the waves, you can't help but to feel relaxed…..a 2 or 3 minute walk and you are on the beach.

The Penthouse has an open layout with a comfortable king-size bed in the large bedroom with lounging area (2 comfortable chairs with footstools and coffee table), desk, AC and 32' flatsceen satellite TV. Three large sliding glass and screen doors open to let in the fresh sea breezes. The Garden Suite is the larger of the two, with a separate bedroom and living room and large, picturesque covered dining deck with seating for 6 and a built-in gas BBQ, surrounded by neat hibiscus hedges and overhanging bougainvillea. The kitchen has a cooktop, refrigerator, coffee-maker and blender. The large sliding glass and screen doors open to the breezes and ocean views in both the bedroom and living area. The bathroom has a shower and single vanity. There is AC in both the living room and the bedroom.

The Villas of Long Bay are a collection of attractive, free-standing villas nestled into the slopes of Long Bay, West End. The fabulous North-facing views encompass Jost Van Dyke, Little Jost, Sandy Cay and Green Cay. The entire development is surrounded by well-established, bright, tropical landscaping and bordered by the mile long white sand beach.....your villa is just a few minutes' walk from the sand and turquoise water…..

While almost identical in design and layout, the interiors of these privately-owned villas have all been individualised and all have ocean views due to their positioning on the hillside. We offer a selection of properties ranging from one bedroom to 3 bedrooms, which can be rented as individual units or as entire villas - there are internal stairs that can link them together or remain locked. These villas offer great value for anyone looking for a peaceful beachside holiday!

Positioned between two famous beaches, Long Bay is in itself a treasure….with a mile of soft, white sand that's lined by swaying palms and shady sea-grape trees, there's a quiet spot for everyone…..on a calm day snorkel out to Pelican Point; when the swell is up body-surf or boogie-board the waves to the shore; venture along Nature Boy's trail through the sea-grape tress to Belmont Salt pond where you may even be lucky enough to see a flamingo! or simply walk off some of those frozen cocktails!

Smugglers Cove is the next bay to the west - famed for it's beautiful snorkelling and tranquil shoreline, it may no longer be a secret but it is 'off the beaten track' enough that it remains pretty uncrowded. Drinks are available at Nigel's beach bar. Just over the hill to the east is Apple Bay, a top destination for well-travelled surfers in the winter months.

Each villa is also equipped with an iron, hair-dryer and a local cell-phone with $5 credit.

Parking is just above the villa.

We accept a minimum booking of 3 nights year round and 7 nights over Christmas and New Year.

All rates are subject to an additional 7% government hotel tax and 3% service charge.

A $300 refundable damage deposit is required.

Very quiet and private. Good restaurants not far away...too far to walk though.

Best place to stay on Tortola!

  • 5 of 5

This was our third trip to the BVI, and each time we’ve gone we’ve found another rental to try next time that we thought would improve our experience... until now. The Villas at Long Bay are well appointed, roomy, clean, have air conditioning (YAY!), and most importantly for us, in the absolute best location in all of Tortola (Tortola is also the best island to use as a base for island hopping). We took walks on the mile-long white sand beach of Long Bay almost every day, and we were often the only people on the beach (that won’t last long, but it was fantastic for us!). We were also a short drive to the best beach on the island, Smugglers Cove. This was our first time having air conditioning, and while we preferred to not turn it on in the living/kitchen area so we could leave the sliding doors open to hear the waves below us, it helped us sleep so much better having it on in the bedroom. And the king bed was very comfortable for both of us. Loved sitting in the comfy chairs in the living room or on the patio, soaking in the amazing views. We will definitely come back here in the future.

We stayed the second half of May, and while the islands are still recovering from the hurricanes, and likely will be for a long time, don’t let it put you off. There are plenty of restaurants and businesses open. If you want to sail and/or experience the best snorkeling, I’d contact Kuralu or Aristocat and book a day sail to the Norman Caves and the Indians as early as possible. We tried to do it last minute, but there weren’t enough people booked to go out. When we were here two years ago, the Caves and Indians were the best snorkel we did, and a lot of the good spots have been affected by the storms, but still worth the effort. The island won’t recover without visitors, so you can help their recovery just by making a visit. Go! You won’t regret it!

Loved it so much, we extended our stay!

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed in this beautiful villa at Long Bay. It was everything we could have hoped for. The unit itself had plenty of amenities and was more spacious than we expected. Housekeeping, although we never met them, did a great job. The unit was very clean and in excellent condition. After Irma's unfortunate visit to the island, we had considered changing our plans and visiting other islands (both accommodations we had reserved were no longer open). After a lot of research, we still kept thinking of Tortola, We decided to go back to Tortola, really not knowing what kind of conditions we would find. Sam, JC and Sharlene worked hard to help us find accommodations and arranged our rental car. Sharlene was amazing. She was sure to emphasize that she was available anytime to answer questions and help facilitate our visit. At Long Bay Villas, Singh and Patty Ann were also wonderful. Whenever they saw us, we were greeted with warm, smiling faces. They called us by name and always asked how everything was going, did we need anything. We could not have been happier with the whole experience!

Yes, there is a lot of damage. Yes, a lot of businesses are still working to reopen their doors. There are plenty of restaurants and bars open. The beaches are still beautiful and the people are as warm and wonderful as they have always been. Go see Vishaal, Ernestine and all the great people at Myettes at Cane Garden Bay. Get a massage right on the beach. Go visit Nigel at his beach bar at Smugglers Cove. He make a great hot dog. Go to Trellis Bay and check out all of the beautiful pottery, jewelry and other crafts made by local artisans. The food and service we received at Pussers and D'best Cup at Soppers Hole were also fantastic. D'Coal Pot always puts out great food and, in it's new location, a beautiful place for a sunset dinner.

We not only HIGHLY recommend this accommodation, we highly recommend Tortola! Don't be afraid of what you might hear on the news or social media regarding the storm damage. It is still a great place to visit. We loved it so much, we extended our stay! Many thanks to all of those who made our trip so memorable! Visit Tortola and be a part of the recovery! BVI STRONG!!!

Wonderful week in Long Bay!!

  • 5 of 5

Vista Do Mar was the perfect villa getaway for my wife and I. Amazing views of Long Bay, a well appointed villa and great service from Sam, Patty Anne, Sharlene and the rest of the staff. We love this area of the West End b/c it's close to Soper's Hole, Smuggler's, Cane Garden Bay, several great restaurants (try Da Coal Pot!) and not to mention Long Bay itself. We have stayed near by before but will be back to Long Bay for sure. Thanks for a great vacation y'all!
