Beautiful Provencal farmhouse!
This place is as good as the pictures; in some ways, more so - pictures don't show the soft smell of lavender that greets you when entering the house! The property is absolutely beautiful, the home is lovely, and the quiet pace of country life allows exploring (or relaxing) at your own speed. One thing to note is that the owner lives in the same physical building, albeit around the corner from the entrance in the picture; think of it like an attached house. Not a concern, per se - but the privacy isn't as complete as the pictures make it appear. Being a rural house, there are a number of bugs about, but that shouldn't be a deterrent to anyone familiar with country living. My only other complaint about this place is that the beds are fairly uncomfortable. But all in all, this place is definitely worth the stay!
Nice gite but shame about the wind.
Very nicely appointed accommodation, but if the Mistral blows(as it did strongly during much of our stay) the patio has no shelter and so you get stuck in doors in the evening. We also had a strange swarm of beetles on the patio for 5 days which didn't help and no suggestions from the owners about how to deal with them, so we had to keep doors and windows closed, even at 30 degrees! Great area for sightseeing though and good restaurants a short drive away.
Lovely light and airy property.
We had a lovely time in this beautiful property. The location was central to various things that we wanted to do including Arles, St. Remy-en-Provence, Avignon and all the other little hidden villages in between. Loved out time there.
Merci Patricia pour votre appréciation!
Le Petite Bosquet
The house, property and owners were lovely. When we arrived they had a bottle of wine waiting for us! The owner was very helpful with our questions and immediately came to help (the appliances are in French). The house is perfect for a small family or a couple needing a place to stay in this part of Provence. The grounds are very well maintained and we enjoyed the garden and olive tree grove.
It was quite and relaxing. A rental car is a must as the house is in a rural area. We took several day trips from the house. Sault, St Remy, Chateaunaf de Pape, Avignon, Pont du gard to name a few. Cell service is spotty, make sure you have good service. No wifi- but hey, you are "camping" in Provence- a good way to disconnect! We would return in a heartbeat just to relax. Loved our stay!
Thank you very much. You can come at Le Petit Bosquet when you want!
Beautiful quiet property near Avignon--great for kids
This is a lovely house. Both a traditional provencal building, but recently rennovated with modern conveniences. We were very comfortable in spite of the heat, it was still cool inside the house. Our children enjoyed playing in the large field and amongst the trees nearby. The host was nice and accomodating.
"very nice place. the hosts were very friendly. the place is fully equipped and the surroundings beautiful. very close to avignon.thank you for the vegetables:)"
