Aloha and welcome to our beautiful, centrally air conditioned OCEANFRONT 4th Floor condo (6 floors total) located in sunny Kihei (Maui). To determine your condo cost: (Daily Rate x number of nights) + cleaning fee + Hawaii State Sales Tax (13.42%). That is it! There are no other hidden fees or charges (parking and secured wireless internet are free) for the rental of this unit.
YOUR CONDO---Your non-smoking, elevator accessible condo is full of amenities including a washer and dryer, stove, cook top, microwave, 46” LCD TV with cable, DVD player, free hi-speed wireless internet service, blender, free landline local phone service, and all of the usual kitchen appliances, dishes and silverware that you may need. There are fresh linens and soft towels, a California King sized bed to relax in along with stone top night stands, and plenty of closet space for all of your luggage. There is a pull-out ‘double sized’ sofa in the living room that sleeps two people. The bathroom includes a shower/tub and is accessible from the main living room without disturbing the master bedroom (sliding door partition). Make your way to your own private lanai/balcony and listen to waves crashing against the beach just below. Enjoy!
SUGAR BEACH RESORT---Located less than 10 miles from the airport, Kihei is centrally located to all of your destinations on Maui. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by a front office professional who will answer any questions you may have about Sugar Beach. Check in is after 3pm and check out is at 11am. Next door is an activity center (and a fully stocked general store) where island guides will introduce you to snorkeling, horseback riding, golf, hiking, luaus, Harley rentals, romantic cruises, and sport fishing to name a few. The grocery stores are close and Maui even has a COSTCO and WALMART. Stop by the on-site bar and sandwich shop and try one of their margaritas or order from their complete menus. There is also an on-site spa/salon that offers relaxing massages by a licensed professional.
The grounds are beautiful, full of vegetation, flowers and palm trees. There are plenty of lounge chairs on the property, covered parking (free to guests), and tennis courts. The centrally located pool is cleaned every night and includes a built-in Jacuzzi, sauna and wading pool for the kids. The beach is the longest uninterrupted beach in all of Hawaii!! The sand is a golden-yellow, soft, and is excellent for romantic walks at night or an early morning jog. The waves make excellent body surfing with your boogie board too. At night, the light sounds of the waves will hypnotically send you into a deep and tranquil sleep and you will wake up with a renewed energy.
CANCELLATION AND RESERVATION POLICY---Your reservation is 100% refundable (less a 3% cancellation fee) for all cancellations MORE than 90 days prior to your date of arrival. There is NO REFUND for bad weather (or other acts of nature), potentially noisy guests next door or if you suddenly become ill and cannot come to Hawaii. ALL SALES ARE FINAL LESS THAN 90 DAYS FROM YOUR ARRIVAL DATE. I will try and find someone for you if you cannot come to help defer some of the costs. This applies to condo reservations only and not the rental car option some customers choose (see Alamo). All sales are final and nonrefundable for cancellations LESS than 90 days prior to arrival. Full payment is required at the time the reservation is booked (credit card preferred) and we require a (5) night minimum stay (slightly higher rates for less than 7 days). All guests 17 and under stay free for a maximum occupancy of (4) people per condo. For all adult persons (3) and (4) there is a $12 per day charge for each person.
HOW TO BOOK THIS UNIT---1. Please email me and request our unit WITH SPECIFIC DATES. 2. We will call the booking agent on Maui and make a reservation under your name for the dates you gave us. 3. We will email you the reservation for you to review (Check dates, correct spellings, etc.). 4. Once you REPLY BACK to us and APPROVE the reservation we will then charge your credit card. All set!

Sugar Beach Resort is quite simply, the best place on Maui! If you want to stay in a mega-story tower with 5,000 of your closest friends, then Sugar Beach is not for you. With just over 200 units and only six stories tall, it is a small enough place where faces become familiar after one day yet large enough to feel a part of a quiet, mature, and yet active community.
What makes this Condo unique
Kihei is centrally located on Maui and close to both ends of the island. The local restaurants are fabulous and the unique terrain makes it a hidden favorite for most people. We are not the absolute cheapest place to stay on Maui, but we think we have the best value. Your satisfaction is our goal and would appreciate a chance to earn your business!

Exactly as stated
The property description, photos, list of amenities and location description is exactly as stated. The location of this property is excellent because it is centrally located to any place one wants to go. There are many things to do in Maui but 2 of our favorites were the drive to Hana, this is an all day adventure but so worth it and the drive to the top of Haleakala is spectacular! A few great restaurants to eat at are Buzz's, Alexander's Fish and Chips and Charlies's. Another nice place to visit is Ali'i Kula Lavender, the lavender tea and views are spectacular.

Great location and beach setting, and very comfortable bed!
Pros: Great location, relatively close to anywhere on the island. The view and ease to the ocean is awesome, only steps away. You could not ask for a nicer view while enjoying your morning coffee. Also, the entire resort is quiet. The mattress is VERY comfortable. The property is well-equipped. (Could use a couple travel coffee cups;)
Cons: Sugar Beach is windy and although this doesn’t reflect on the property, it does on your stay, so FYI. Also, the property didn’t seem super clean. Carpets were yucky enough that we kept our flip flops on most of the time. (Maybe bc my husband owns a carpet cleaning business that this bothers me in particular :/) Hair and toothpaste in the bathroom drawers. I don’t consider myself a “clean freak” but I like it relatively clean. The place is outdated but that I could live with for the price and location. It was the lack of cleanliness that caused me to give it a 3 star rating.
Overall, good price for what you get in comparison to other places on Maui.
The location was perfect in many ways: for families, for long walks on the beach, location, swimming & boogie boarding in the ocean, lunches on the lanai, and the communication that Greg the owner provided. Our only wish is that we could come back annually to this same unit. Mahalo!

Wonderful ocean front setting
Great setting directly on the ocean front. Clean and comfortable condo. Well outfitted kitchen. Comfortable king-sized bed. We'd stay again.

The condo is located in the MILL BUILDING which includes a parking lot where some of the parking lot is covered.

1. Rates are subject to change without notice and will be confirmed at the time of billing. 2. A deep cleaning fee of $250 will be assessed IF a guest stays longer than 28 days. The standard cleaning fee of $125 will be cancelled and the new fee of $250 will be assessed.
