Salmon fishing on the Betsie

  • 4 of 5

We chose this property to fish for Salmon on the Betsie. We were allowed to bring our 3 pups which helped us chose to stay here. We didn't have much luck until our last day, but the Salmon are there, right on the property. We ended up staying an extra night to catch the fish and it was nice that Melissa blocks out a night in case you want to stay. I did not like the $100 dollar cleaning fee but after discussing it with Melissa and seeing the beautiful carpet in the house, I understand the need for the cleaning fee. I would recommend this property to anyone.

Wonderful place

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a wonderful time. The cabin was much roomier than expected inside and outside along with the kitchen being fully stocked with extras! We wish we would have planned more time at the cabin, loved hanging out by the river on the deck. Enjoyed the quick visit from the neighbors dog and my dog kept waiting for him to come back over for the rest of our stay. My daughter brought her lightweight hammock and there was the perfect place next to the cabins comfy hammock for hers. I would highly recommend this cabin. The owners were quick to respond to questions before our arrival.

Recently spent 3 nights on property with husband while enjoying the local scenic roadways on motorcycles. The access road to the property is not paved but evenly graded, no potholes with a speed limit of 15 mph. You are in the woods here and there were few people sightings when coming and going but it was easy to get around to neighboring communities. This older home has fresh decor, was impressively spotless (high compliments to the cleaning team), well organized with items placed just where you would need them, and very comfortable for relaxing. The AC kept the home comfortable during the high 80's weather. Do make it a point to stop by the Iron Fish Distillery nearby-they make a delicious and refreshing "Mule". We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would come back if planning a return to the area.
