This 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment is perfect for the traveler who wants to experience all that New York City has to offer while staying in a quiet historic neighborhood. This treelined quintessential New York block is also half a block from the A and D Trains which take you to midtown in 2 stops (11 minutes.)

Currently new legislation outlaws short term rentals in multi-family units (buildings categorized as 3-family or greater by the DOB. This house is a DOB certified 2 family house which makes it legal to rent short term according to the new legislation.

Outfitted perfectly for any renter, this apartment is very comfortable and includes a washer/dryer. It is an open layout with a comfy couch, flat screen TV and a large dining table. 1 bedroom has a queen sized bed and the other twin sized bunk beds. Fully stocked, the kitchen has all the amenities one would need to cook a 4 course meal, but why would you cook when you could eat out and have any ethnic cuisine steps away from your apartment!

About Kate

The owners Mark and Kate grew up in the same town but never met until one fateful Thanksgiving on a flight home, and the rest was history. Both Mark and Kate live in the upper level of the home and rent out their garden level apartment. They like to rent to visitors and share their favorite things to do in the city.

Why Kate chose Manhattan

This is a beautiful historic home on a street that hasn't changed since 1899. This tree-lined, well lit street is known for its friendly long-term residents who take care of the block. The home is historic and recently renovated for modern amenities. The owners plan on living here until they are old and grey!

What makes this apartment unique

The A,D, B and C trains at the end of the block and the 1 train three blocks away, is one of the best features of this location. You can get anywhere in the city very quickly.

First Class all the way!

An amazing place to stay in Upper Manhattan! I felt very safe. The apartment is very spacious and clean. Close to the subway entrance in order to pick up the train to Lower Manhattan. It's located on a very historic street. Backyard is very cute as well!!

What a great place to stay

This 2 bedroom rental was fantastic. It was very clean and comfortable. Access to transportation, both subway and bus was just around the corner. The owners made themselves available if needed. The amenities, like washer and dryer, air conditioning, dishwasher, coffee pot made our stay in this apartment just like we were in our own place.

When we travel safety is always a concern, we felt extremely safe in the apartment and in the area. We found the people in this area to be very friendly and helpful as well.

great location, good for kids

This property is in a very nice location. It was an easy walk to a subway station, grocery store, and church. Our family really appreciated the bunk beds since we have a son & a daughter. We enjoyed the kitchen for breakfast each day before exploring the city, and returning to a comfortable area for dinner each evening. Fun trip to a great city!

This property is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!

Spacious, very clean, has all the amenities you can think of (including a washer and dryer)and just a few minutes walk to the subway station.

It was our home away from home :-)

Everything it says it is.

Our family of 3 stayed here for a week and it was fantastic. The apartment was VERY clean when we arrived and had better bath towels than I do at home! Kitchen was well stocked with cooking oil, condiments, hot chocolate, even a coffee grinder. The street is very quiet, I don't think we ever heard any traffic. I really enjoyed being able to sit outside in the backyard with coffee in the morning. A real treat in New York! Right around the corner is a subway stop and a very well stocked grocery store. All in all, a lovely place to stay.

Nice, convenient location

The apartment, located on a quiet residential street, was nice and provided a comfortable space for our party of three. It is very conveniently located near the subway station for the A,B,C, & D lines. The subway station, a full grocery store (Foodtown), a pharmacy, and a wine store are all within 200 yards of the townhouse.
