The owners Mark and Kate grew up in the same town but never met until one fateful Thanksgiving on a flight home, and the rest was history. Both Mark and Kate live in the upper level of the home and rent out their garden level apartment. They like to rent to visitors and share their favorite things to do in the city.
Kate purchased this Apartment in 2014
Why Kate chose Hamilton Heights
This is a beautiful historic home on a street that hasn't changed since 1899. This tree-lined, well lit street is known for its friendly long-term residents who take care of the block. The home is historic and recently renovated for modern amenities. The owners plan on living here until they are old and grey!
What makes this Apartment unique
The A,D, B and C trains at the end of the block and the 1 train three blocks away, is one of the best features of this location. You can get anywhere in the city very quickly.

Very quiet and very clean place. The neighborhood is beautiful. Subway entrance and bodega’s were nearby. We will stay here again when we return to NYC. Thanks Kate and Mark.
Comfortable “home”, convenient location, everything we needed.
We really enjoyed our stay. the locals were all very friendly, We felt safe at all times. The subway made it seem like we were very close to the city..... only 20 min ride! The apartment was very comfortable and warm on those cold winters days. The furniture and fittings were comfortable and more than sufficient for our holiday, it really was a “home away from home”.
Great apartment and convenent location, helpful hosts.
This a return visit for us. The unit is nicely furnished with two bedrooms, washer/dryer, well stocked kitchen, and conviently located one block from the subway station with express A and D trains into central Manhattan. Mark and Kate live upstairs and are very helpful. Expect to return again next year.
Lots to like
One of the reasons I chose this property was that the reviews said the owner was very friendly. However she never came down to see us at all.
We loved being in Harlem and staying in a Brownstone. The flat was OK but bathroom very small for 4 people. The bunk bed swayed whenever someone turned over, but the double bed was very comfortable. Our overall impression was that the flat could do with smartening up.
Awesome experience. The apartment is spotless, well appointed and stocked. Kate is a wonderful host, could not have had a better stay.
Convenient, comfortable, cozy
We really enjoued our stay! Comdortavle beds. Location so convenient to transportation. Friwndlu neighbors.
