Large apartment in a renovated historic building XIX century located in the historical and tourist center of Madrid. Renovated and restored for four people, twoo of them in a large easily open bed safa. Located in Cava Baja street close to Plaza Mayor in the best tourist entertainment area: restaurants, tipical tavers, theaters, monuments and El Rastro flea market. It´s exterior, bright. Personal attention by the owners. English and french are spoken.
This apartment was where I lived for a long time.
Location, it´s close to everything in the historic center, walking access to all the places in downtown. This on a busy street with all services at hand and the apartment is not noisy.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in José's apartment. The location couldn't have been better, being on one of the best streets for restaurants, wine bars, etc. while also being within walking distance to all of the major tourist sites, including Plaza Mayor, El Rastro Market, the Mercado de San Miguel, and the Palace, just to name a few. Noise from restaurants below was not a problem at all, and the bedroom was especially quiet and comfortable. The apartment was very clean and well stocked with everything you could need. The owner, José, was extremely pleasant to deal with and went out of his way to help me find affordable parking. I have been to Madrid several times and this place was my favorite so far. I will definitely stay here again!!!
We stayed for a few weeks over the Christmas vacation and were very pleased with the apartment. The owner was wonderful and met us upon our arrival. I would highly recommend this apartment to any couple looking for a central place to stay - as it is a third floor apt., the noise from the street is quite manageable and in fact cannot be heard from the bedroom. We will stay there the next time also, it was very clean and the location was is the city center. We also had good customer service and thats important now days.
This is a wonderful apartment in a great location in La Latina. Minutes from Metro station and Dia supermarket. The street is packed with great places to eat. Walking distance to all the tourist attractions. The apartment itself is good size and has everything you might need to enjoy your stay.
Very nice apartment in the heart of the old city. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, especially enjoyed Baja Cava 17 and La Tagliatelle, wonderful pasta. Jose met us when we arrived and gave us a quick tour and some recommendations. Bedroom is very quiet and comfortable, but the stairs can be a pain at the end of a long day. will defiantly recommend.
The apartment is very well located in a nice old street with a lot of good restaurants and bars, but at the same time it is very quiet. It is located in the 4th floor of an old traditional building, the apartment has been remodeled, it has a nice bedroom, which is located in a quiet part, with very confortable bed, a living room with an additional sofa/bed, nice kitchen with all the needed things and a nice bathroom. The building does not have an elevator, so take this into account if you have problems with going up/down 60 stairs. Jose Miguel, our host, was very nice and easy to it was communicate with him, he met us on arrival and waited for us since our plane was delayed. The location is excellent, near Plaza Mayor and Mercado San Miguel and within walking distance of everything and good metro access. I reccomend eating in all the nice Tabernas in the street, we tried many of them and they were all excellent. I will come back to this apartment next time I visit Madrid.
It´s located in the best entertainment area of Madrid, restaurants, taverns, theatres and El Rastro flea marquet sundays&holidays mornings. In Barrio of Austrias, close to Palacio Real, San Francisco el Grande Church, Plaza mayor, Almudena Cathedral, Puerta del Sol etc. It´s only two underground stops from El Prado and Thyssen Museums.Walking access to all tourist areas of downtown Madrid in less than 20 minutes. Close to Puerta del Sol area where yuo can find El Corte Inglés big store, Preciado´s Street stores and San Miguel Market.
