Too noisy; not very clean.

General: On arrival, the flat, glasses and the crockery had a musty smell about them as though the flat had not been aired or redusted prior to our arrival. In addition, there was quite a bit of mould at the bottom of the shower unit. There was no washing machine, but there was a costly launderette within 10 minutes walk.

Location: Although the flat was very conveniently located for returning after an evening in the centre of Annecy, it is on the first floor between two bars, which stayed open until 3:00 am with noisy customers. Street cleaners and rubbish collectors started their work at 6:00 am so sleep was disturbed and minimal, for if the windows were closed the flat was too hot, there being no air conditioning.

Parking: This was in a nearby car park which cost Euros 45 for a five day ticket. The daily cost is about Euros 16. The nearest free car park which was described to us as about 15 minutes walk way where it would be easy to find a space was in fact about 30 minutes casual walk away and it proved impossible to find a space (with many cars circling) as the car park was opposite a yacht club and beach. and accordingly very busy.

Internet: The internet connection consists of a Domino for which you have to buy from a very busy Orange shop (10 minutes walk away) an "access" which for a "non-teckie" is very complicated to "fit" and which costs 10 Euros for one megabite which we consumed in one evening sending five not very long emails.

Representative: Although Patricia and her daughter AnnSophie were very nice and helpful we felt that they exaggerated the ease of using the free parking and the access to the internet.

Conclusion: We think that the daily cost which we paid does not represent good value and we would not return to the flat at any cost.

Very central apartment close to old town, lake and restaurants.

As a family we found the apartment very clean, tastefully decorated and spacious. Our hostess Patricia met us at the train station and was very helpful, and gracious. The apartment is situated very close to the old, cobbled streets of the old town in Annecy and as such was handy for restaurants, markets, shops and access to the lake front. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Annecy as we spent most of our days out and about, cycling, hiking, swimming and eating out.

However, we were very disappointed that it was not disclosed on the Homeaway website that the apartment was located above 2 bars. The noise was not very encroaching, but we did have to keep our windows closed at all times due to the smoke from customers smoking, drifting in our windows. This was not ideal as there is no air conditioning in the apartment.

Wonderful stay!

Cosy apartment in the heart of the Old town. We stayed here for 3 months and couldn't have wished for a better location. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed, and the owners went above and beyond to make us feel at home.

Séjour superbe mais appart à rénover

Accueil de Patricia et de sa fille très sympa.

L appartement est bien situé . Un peu bruyant, mais en centre ville, c est normal.

Par contre, quelques travaux de rénovation à faire dans celui ci: porte d entrée : un verrou sur les deux fonctionne.

La fenêtre du salon est difficile à fermer.

Le frigo est vétuste et au dessus une chaleur se degage ( ? )

La douche n est pas pratique. La porte est difficile à fermer ... les joints , à refaire .

Au niveau propreté de l appart, c est moyen.

En conclusion , l appart pourrait être sympa Après une rénovation. Il faudrait que le propriétaire s intéresse à l état de celui ci.

Sinon , très bon séjour à Annecy.
