A nice apartment

We stayed at the apartment for a week and were really happy about it. The building is well located and maintained, the apartment is clean and tidy, the beds are comfortable. There was some noise from the street but not much to worry about. The roof terrace is also a bonus. Everything is within a walking distance and the village itself is really nice.

a lovely place to stay

Anibal's apartment is very comfortable and well equipped for a short stay - we stayed 10 days and it was perfect. We were not disturbed by the bar across the road and there is an excellent restaurant las Parrillitas a very short distance away at the top of Calle Mar en Calma, the next road along. The apartment was clean, the beds comfortable, the bathroom spacious, the kitchen ok for a short stay. The apartment balcony gets the sun in the morning, so it's nice to sit out for breakfast. There is a large roof area for sunbathing if you don't fancy walking to the beach. The washing machine is in a cupboard on the roof as well and there is drying space up there too. Plenty of storage space. Anibal was very helpful and we can recommend this apartment without reservation.

Lovely flat, but noisy

We were comfortable and happy in this well located flat. It had bunk beds in the second bedroom, ideal for kids, but we were two friends sharing. The key pickup worked well and the owners are friendly and helpful. Sadly a new bar has opened across the road and we were kept awake until 2a.m several nights. We were told it only opens for 3 months a year?? San Juan is a favourite location and we were so pleased to be here for a week.

Excellent Apartment in good position

We love Playa San Juan and this is the 2nd time we have stayed there. We stayed in this 1st floor apartment for 6 weeks, and were very happy . It is clean and spacious for 2 people and very airy. There are lovely views of the mountains from the small balcony. It is well equipped,with a huge fridge freezer, hob and microwave but no oven. We did not find this a problem and we ate in a lot buying superb meat from the local butcher and fresh fish. The Wi Fi was very good and we watched television through Film On very successfully, having taken our own HDMI leads with us.

The roof terrace is fantastic and we spent many afternoons on the sun loungers up there. It was very useful having a washing machine and drying facilities on the roof.

Anibal and his family were always very helpful. The communal areas are very clean and welcoming.

The apartment is only a short walk from the coastal path and very close to all local shops restaurants and the weekly market on a Wednesday.

The bedroom does face the side road so there is some noise in the mornings but nothing to keep you awake. Quiet all night.

I would recommend this apartment, we would certainly book it again. Also the price is very reasonable.

Good restaurants include - Antonio's, Jamon Jamon, Vinoteca, Plazale and Opera for home made ice cream!

Also try La Teredas in Aqua Dulce, superb! Try the Chateaubriand for 22 euros!

There is an excellent bus service here, buy a Bono card to save money.

Smart new apartment in a lovely village

We've been going to San Juan for several years now. Its just about the only village on the Southwest coast which isn't dominated by large hotels.

The apartment is very clean and spacious. It is just off the main street, convenient for shops and buses. A short, and very pleasant walk to the beach.

The apartment has access to the roof terrace, which was very peaceful and had good views of Teide and La Gomera.

Everything in the apartment was new and worked well. The little balcony was very pleasant as it gets morning sun, for breakfast.

The rooms were quite large and the flat was more than big enough for us (2 adults).

Appartement impeccable mais du bruit dans la rue

- Appartement neuf, très propre, bien équipé (machine à laver avec étendoir sur la terrasse bien pratiques par exemple) et bien agencé, dans un bel immeuble rouge.

- Situé à 10 mn à pieds de la plage, proche de toutes commodités (supermarché à 2 mn en voiture)

- Bien placé pour partir en rando dans le parc du Teide (40 mn en voiture)

- Système pratique pour récupérer/ laisser les clés dans une boite avec code.

- Nous n'avons pas vu le propriétaire (qui était cependant joignable en cas de besoin)

- Seul bémol pour nous, la rue très bruyante à toute heure de la journée et de la nuit (bruit lié à un café, un resto, aux conteneurs des poubelles et à un fan de tuning qui garait sa voiture avec pot trafiqué juste en face). Fenêtres fermées ne filtrent pas le bruit et rendent l'appartement étouffant en été. Vraiment dommage. Un petit ventilateur + un double vitrage s'imposent!
