Enjoy comfortable, vacation living in this beautiful pool home located on a fresh water canal. This home features a sunny Great room , with raised ceilings, and pocket sliding glass doors, which open onto a very private lanai and pool. The large Master bedroom suite also opens to the pool area, and has a cozy pillow-topped King-size bed. The Master bath includes a walk-in tiled shower. Also, there is a second bedroom has a Queen size bed and a third bedroom, outfitted with two twin size beds. The sleeping accommodations are perfect for a family with children, or even a golf foursome!
The Great room and all three bedrooms are equipped with televisions connected to the DISH Network, for the enjoyment of a multitude of popular channels. There is a fully equipped kitchen, with a laundry pantry. The pool area is fully screened with comfortable patio set and a handy pool bath. There are even 'his' and 'hers' bicycles for adventurous vacationers.
Use this home as your base to explore the beaches of Fort Myers and Sanibel, lively restaurant and night scene, and other local attractions, like the Edison/Ford estates nearby. The Red Sox and Twins spring training camps are just minutes away in Fort Myers. Golf enthusiasts will have an easy commute to several well groomed and playable courses. Get away at Villa Maria.
My wife and I stayed a Villa Maria for two weeks in November 2014. We loved the open concept, master bedroom and master bath. The tile throughout house is a great idea. Keeps the place clean. Pam, we just loved the area by the canal and our own beautiful, clean, heated pool. Area has easy access to Cape Coral and surrounding areas. We enjoyed grilling out at the lanai and what a pretty setting at night with the pool light turned on. The location is in the northern section of Cape Coral with a grocery shopping area 5 minutes away. Pam was a very delightful owner and communicated with us throughout the process of rental. We enjoyed our stay and during the time we were here we had relatives and friends stay with us for a while and found the home very comfortable for all.There were enough options for entertainment and just plain relaxing to keep everyone satisfied.Caught a few bass out of the canal and enjoyed watching the birds and geckos outside the lanai.We would highly recommend this property and dealing with Pam(the owner) was also a positive experience.
This was the second time I have spent the month of March at this Cape Coral property, having vacationed with a group there in 2012. The living room furniture had been replaced and all new tile had been added since my last visit and it made for an even more comfortable stay. We love the area as we bring bicycles and there are bike paths that take you into several neighborhoods for safe, quiet riding. The house is within a 45 minute drive of Pine Island, Sanibel Island or the Pioneer Bike Trail, all areas where you feel you can put on some cycling miles safely. There are many restaurant choices, Woody's on Pine Island and Bone Fish Grill being two of our favorites. Having the heated pool is a wonderful asset to this rental. There is also a Farmers Market every Saturday in downtown Cape Coral where you can purchase fresh fruits, veggies, bread and the best guacamole you will ever eat! I would recommend this rental to anyone wanting to enjoy a heated pool in the Florida sunshine in a quiet neighborhood. Also, if you like to shop there are numerous Thrift Shops as well as malls. The owner is easy to contact and we have never experienced any difficulties.
My husband and I and three other adults rented this property for the month of March 2012. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The area was quiet with no houses directly on either side so we enjoyed daily afternoon water volleyball games without fear of making too much noise for the neighbors. The previous reviewer noted that the rugs were dirty. The rug was stained but was not dirty. I spoke to the owner prior to rental and she pointed this out to me stating that the rug had just been shampooed. It did not at all hamper our enjoyment. Plus, she stated she was planning to replace the rug with tile. There was a new property manager that the owner had hired who was very accommodating and always available. Additionally, the owner told us if we had any problems at all to contact her directly. We particularly enjoyed the beach at the Yacht Club and at Sanibel Causeway. Restaurants we enjoyed were Crazy Fish (great fried clams) and Bonefish Grill. My husband and I would definitely rent here again in the future. (As a side note, I'm not sure what the previous reviewer meant about privacy curtains on the front door.) It's a quiet neighborhood with no house directly across from the front door so I was confused by that. You do need a car to get around because, other than a Publix mall, you had to drive to everything but my husband and I were fine with that.
I must say we were disappointed at the condition of the rental home and felt that the rental price was excessive based upon other homes and condition that this was in.
1. No working smoke detector in the house. This is a code violation and a safety issue.
2. Carpets were extremely dirty and spotted as well as the sofas (sofas were worn to the point that threads were showing in areas.
3. Master bathroom shower floor was dirty and both my wife and I have a bad case of athlete's foot now.
4. No place in the contract was it stated that there were restrictions on the use of the AC, but when we arrived notes were posted on the kitchen wall limited the AC to 75 degrees or higher. This is a breach of contract and had we known would not have agreed. If the AC unit freezes up below 75 degrees then it is substandard and may also be a building code issue.
5. The living room TV did not work for the first 1.5 days
6. Walls were dirty and spotted especially in the kitchen. Screen on front door was loose and disconnected also areas around the pool the screening was coming loose letting geckos and insects in.
7. Holes in the walls were cable wiring was jury rigged-building code issue?
8. There was only 1 reclining lounger at the pool, since there was 2 of us this created an issue 9. There were no drapes on the front door entry creating a privacy issue.
10. The patio door curtain slats kept falling down-as I discovered many were held up by toothpicks.
I am sure that in this condition you are not getting any returning guests.
This home provided the perfect location for a family reunion/vacation with my daughter and her family. We spent hours every day in the pool with the kids. There was even pool toys and beach toys in the garage for us to use! We would recommend this house to any one visiting the area.
