This very charming house (beginning of 19th) has been totally renewed, decorated and fully equipped. With 210 sqm, it may houses 9 to 10 people.

Groundfloor : living room, dining room, cheminey beams , fully equipped kitchen, all opening on garden and terrasse view.

1st floor: 3 bedrooms (3 double beds) +1 bathroom,2 showers, WC.

2nd floor : 2 bedrooms : 3 simple beds.

1500 sqm garden, including a terrase with garden furniture BBQ.

Ideally located in front of the Clairefontaine Horserack, the house is surrounded by a large south facing garden. Apple trees, beams and a lovely flowered terrasse provide the traditional way of life of Normandy.

Wunderschöne Sommerferien in der Normandie

Unsere Sommerferienin der Normandie (2 Familien) konnten wir mit dem Domizil in Deauville wunderbar geniessen. Die Wohnungsübergabe klappte reibungslos, Lage ist super und entspricht der Beschreibung.

Das Haus selber bietet für 4 Erwachsene und 5 Kinder genügend Platz. Die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll, einzig das Geschirr könnte eine Auffrischung vertragen (zusammengewürfelt und zum Teil "angeschlagen").

Wir können das Haus definitiv weiterempfehlen.

Mold! Beware

While this appears to be a lovely property- renter beware.

We read the reviews and rented this property. We arrived to find the property not in as good condition as described. The maid informed is that the owner had not been to the property in over eight months and therefore does not really know the condition of the property.

The property is apparently heavily rented and had house 11 people before our arrival.

Although she tried, the maid was unable to adequately clean the house.

More importantly, one of our family members who is in great health, began sneezing and having trouble breathing after only a short time in the house. At first, we kidded that she must be allergic to something in the house. As we went upstairs to go to bed we saw mold on the bedroom walls.

This was after contacting the owner with other issues with the house. Her response was to minimize the issue to "traces in the shower". This was definitely not the case and we documented with pictures the mold issue with her.

If you are concerned about the health issues related to mold exposure, beware. The owner does her best to make it a non issue, but do your research. We left and found other accommodations as we felt the risk of exposure especially with children was too high.

We were extremely disappointed in the owners reaction and response.

Owner's Response: Following Mrs L . appréciation and according the right to send a response . This tenant has been the most difficult one I have ever welcomed in my house . It 's been five years I am renting my property . I have housed many people and none of them ever complained or behaved like Mrs L. I supposed Mrs L. was exhausted by her very long travel ( plane , delayed train , taxi ) and was in a bad mood when entering the house as she immediately indicated my housekeeping that she did "not liked the property ". She was disappointed not to find "soap and shampoo, and no food in the fridge " . Mrs L complains of the fact that the house was not in good condition . Bur she forgets that she has been aware while renting the house that two families were leaving on the same morning and that would leave us very short time to prepare the property. She was therefore perfectly aware of the situation before her arrival . In fact she did not stop complaining about details as "opening the front door is difficult and the bubles in the living room are not working or " the drier is broken " etc.. She just did not know how to use them despite my homemaid explanation. She finally found humidity traces on the top of a window in the bathroom and in the ceiling of the next room. While explaining to her it was an old house and probably humidity would appear and that my home maid would come and clean them the next morning, all of a sudden all the L. family began to be sick ( sneazing and coughing with difficulties of breath ). I suppose Mrs.L found in what she called " mold all over the house " an excuse to leave the property .Indeed the next morning and despite all my effort to please her, she did left without any agreement of mine . .... Just with the keys in the house with all doors open ! She also warned me to sue me in case of non refund ! Mrs L should have reserved in a 5 star hotel . She would have found soap and shampoo and food. But the prices would not have been the same of course as a big house with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and showers , withe a huge garden of 1000m2 and big terrace . Landlords beware of bad faith tenant ! They might sue you because you did not put soap and shampoo in your house... Fortunately I have received so many thanks from my others tenant that Mrs L comments will have not impact . Tenant, Just have a look at all good appreciations and you will have an idea how my house is beautiful !

I LOVED this charming house, with it's perfect views of the back yard and horse racing track. We had our entire family there for a week, and even though the weather was typical and not very nice out, we were still able to enjoy our stay bc of this lovely house. So many different rooms, all perfectly appointed, and the master is just a gem with a BEAUTIFUL bathroom. Kitchen had everything we needed. And the location was walking distance to all you would need in Deauville.

I will most definitely book this home again (and I am an extremely picky New Yorker!)

We recently returned from this property after a two week holiday we were a family group of 7 adults and 3 children under five. Our holiday was wonderful, the house has a lovely homely feel well furnished and equipped the garden is a joy, completely safe and lots of space for the little ones, and outdoor eating a pleasure. It is not often you can be enjoying lunch and have racehorses thunder past the end of the garden! If you have the opportunity an afternoon at the races is a must. The supermarket is a 10 minute walk to the right a lovely pastry shop 10 minutes to the left (best croisssoints ever) and the beach less than 10 minutes straight ahead, and Chrystelle is very helpful if there is anything you need. All in all an excellent holiday.

A great place

We have rented the house for two weeks and have had a great experience, close to the beach and town has been perfect.

We have been nine people including children and the house and garden has been perfect for us well equipped and nothing was missing for our needs.

Maison au top!

My family and I rented this house for three weeks during the busy August season in Deauville. The service and welcome provided by the owner were fantastic. The house is well-equipped with a lovely, large garden which my kids adored. The location is perfect - a short walk to the beach on a quiet street. Best of all the beds are extremely comfortable. Highly recommend.
