|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
(Text automatically translated) The apartment has been recently renovated with care and attention to detail, from the hardwood floors in all the rooms with Vietri tiles in the bathroom, like a house to live. No window of the house facing the street and then the apartment is extremely quiet, and despite being on the first floor, the house is airy and bright. The apartment is located in Via del Campuccio, a characteristic street in the district of Santo Spirito, in the Oltrarno, ie the part of the historical center of Florence situated on the left bank of the Arno River, a unique area of ??Florence, where the narrow streets you still live the true spirit of Florence. A few steps you can easily find all the necessary shops, pharmacies and medical clinic, library, restaurants, bars, pubs and a few meters to the bus stop. The machine is completely unnecessary, unless you want to go on trips out of town not wanting to use public transport (and the most beautiful places of Tuscany are easily accessible from here). Nearby there are car parks where you can still leave and forget your machine with confidence. The owners live in the same building and they are willing to help you with any problem and in any case to make your stay pleasant and unique.
Our family of five including two children aged 7 and 10 had a wonderful four night stay in this apartment.
Right from the first contact with Giovannella things went smoothly. She answered all questions promptly before our stay and was there to warmly welcome us when we arrived. She provided plenty of information about local attractions, restaurants and other sites not found in any guide books.
The apartment was clean and as described in the listing. It is in a lovely "real" neighbourhood with lots of shops, restaurants, grocery stores and laundromats close by. It's also only a 10 min stroll to the Ponte Vecchi bridge so you are still close to the important historic sites.
I don't know when we will be back but I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.
Thanks again Giovannella, we truly enjoyed your stay! Thanks so much for the gift, we were able to keep it safe till we got home and share a little bit of Florence with our family!!
My husband and I rented this beautiful, clean and quiet apartment. After a very pleasant email exchange with our host Giovannella, it was so nice to meet her - and yes, like others note, we were greeted with a very welcome bottle of wine, a family vintage.
The apartment is very simply furnished, comfortable, and has lovely details. The kitchen was a blessing - perfectly suited for simple meals. We took advantage - cooking two dinners at home even though Florence has many great restaurants, a number within five to ten minutes of the apartment, which is situated across the river from the majority of tourist attractions - a great benefit. Distances to everything are very short, and we only used the bus to get to the main station when we were leaving town.
The bathroom is great - sparkling new, good lighting and ventilation, and a great shower.
The only slight disadvantage was proximity to the neighbors across a courtyard (the apartment faces inside, keeping it wonderfully quiet) and overhearing their dinner preparations and tv habits. But, I learned to appreciate this for its anthropological reasons, and the shutters and windows in the bedroom/s stifle the sounds completely. The apartment is up 1.5 flights of stairs - super easy for most.
We would strongly recommend this apartment, and Firenze.
This accommodation met all our requirements. The owner was delightful and very helpful.
A nice place if you want to be in a traditional apartment close to most places.
My husband was invited to Florence to conference and we decided to find a nice place to stay longer to enjoy this fabulous city. This flat was a very good choice. Giovannella is a very nice person, she explained everything to us and her home-made Chianti made us feel welcome. The flat was really very clean. We have experienced several holiday rentals, just one of them was as clean as this one in Florence. Even as a fussy person, I couldn't find any dirty corner. So, I can really recommend it to those people, who, like me, are looking for a really clean flat. Its interior is decorated in very good taste - some bits from the old building (several centuries) are nicely combined with modern comfort (bathroom, kitchen). From the window of the dining room (kitchen window) one looks at the really Italian charming yard. Location was very good too: in a typical narrow Italian street, just a short walk to Palazzo Pitti (with Galeria Palatina), from there we crossed Ponte Vecchio and walked to Piazza Signoria (with Palazzo Vecchio and Galeria Uffizi), after this one could walk to Duomo. A bus we used just a couple of times to go to the Railway station, market and some other places around. Just in a couple minutes walking distance there is Piazza Santo Spirito with local trattorias. What was also very nice of Giovannella was that on the departure day when it was pouring with rain, but our flight was late in the evening, she kindly let us stay in the flat longer. Just one thing which I can't avoid mentioning: during our stay in September there were renovation works in the flat above us and this noise disturbed us quite annoyingly, because otherwise it would be really very quiet flat, quiet during a day and during a night. I hope these works will be finished soon, otherwise everything was perfect. If we go to Florence in future, we would certainly stay in Giovannellas flat again.
I stayed for 6 weeks at this apartment and I honestly can say I would stay here on my many successive trips to Florence (I was here from 21 October to 24 November and an extra week at beginning of December). The apartment is very clean, spacious, nicely decorated, bright, and very quiet (the apartment faces other apartments and not a street). I found the apartment was actually better than the advertisement describes.
Giovannella was very welcoming, always bringing a bottle of wine from her father or new oil. The apartment is not located in the touristic areas so one can really appreciate how the locals live. The apartment is especially close to the major attractions so within a 10 minute walk one can see most of the major tourist sites (Palazzo Pitti, Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi and Duomo) and the shopping areas.
Near the apartment are a lot of cute eateries, bakeries, convenience stores, specialty food stores, and grocery stores as well as the bus stop, an atm, and pharmacies.
