Thank you very much for a very enjoyable stay. The studio is great - very comfortable and well furnished – compact but has everything you will need for your stay including a furnished kitchen. The location is fantastic - so close to many museums and attractions and the Metro. Less than 5 minutes to the Pompidou Center, Les Halles, Monoprix and the Metro/RER and 15 minute walk to Notre Dame, Left Bank and the Louvre. Christel met us when we arrived and walked us through everything. The bed was a pull down but very comfortable. With the windows closed there was no street noise so it was very quiet and comfortable for sleeping.
Highly recommend and we will return when next in Paris.
We came into Paris last minute, and Christel was so accommodating. We got stuck in traffic returning our rental car and were delayed, but she still met us at the apartment to let us in. That kind of customer service can't be beat. The apartment itself was also charmingly decorated and incredibly clean. We would choose it again in a heartbeat.
Once we finally got settled in the apartment and Christel met us, our experience was very pleasant. Close to many cafés, walking distance to metros, and very clean apartment. She brought us extra towels when we asked and ordered a taxi to the airport, which was convenient. Would recommend for sure!
I will always remember Christel's friendly reception as beginning of an excellent 5-night stay in the heart of Paris. Despite our taxi's late arrival due to street closures, she graciously met us at the building's entrance and explained how to enter through the 2 doors using security codes. Once inside, the noise of busy central Paris disappeared as we took the tiny elevator to the top floor, 2 at a time, plus just 1 small flight of stairs. Turning the key to the apartment revealed a typically small but neat living space with everything a couple needed to feel comfortable, "at home", plus a bottle of French red wine, an aromatic French soap set and a nice Paris-themed notepad on which to collect our thoughts, all courtesy of Christel. Whether I used English or my (broken) French, Christel was patient, helpful and a delight to speak with. She even had no problem when we asked if a local friend could visit for the evening, making our stay even more special. Day-to-day, the natural light from multiple windows in the living space was great, as was the view of the neighborhood at night: you can even see the occasional beam of light from the Eiffel Tower in the distance. The kitchen has everything you need to heat up leftovers or whip up a quick meal using ingredients from nearby shops and markets: there are many options within 10 minutes, on foot. And I particularly enjoyed the Illy coffee Christel provided. The pull-down bed was a novelty for me (it folds down from storage in a wall cabinet) but it was very comfortable for two and easy to put away in the morning. The bathroom was also clean and well-lit, the shower worked well. The washing machine was handy and works great, and detergent was provided though there is no drying machine: a folding rack was provided for air drying, which is typical in Europe and is still effective. And the small oscillating fan helped our clothes dry off even faster. The iron worked well, and there were enough outlets for about 4 gadgets to charge. Cable TV included some of my favorite networks in English (e.g. BBC, Sky, CNN), as well as French. Internet access was fast and reliable enough for two people to back up hundreds of high-res photos nightly. The location is excellent: just a quick walk to two of the best connected metro/RER stations in the heart of the city, tons of restaurants and shops, even a modern multi-story mall. Highly recommended by this happy couple, we'll look forward to returning in the future.
We enjoyed the rental very much, especially the location. The Louvre and Notre Dame were only a few blocks away. The rental was well-stocked and Christel made us feel at home.
The apartment was easy to find using Christel's directions! We had a little trouble getting in on with the codes but that was because we were not used to using door codes. Once we were directed to the correct keypad and took off our "dumb Americans" hat all was well. The apartment did not disappoint as it was exactly like the photos! Christel is an amazing hostess, I will certainly recommend this to anyone who visits Paris!!
