This was my personal home for 16 years, and it is built, by me, around the original little log cabin. Materials and techniques were used that were the first in Estes Valley, and some are still in that category. Incredibly energy efficient and quieter than any home in town (with the doors and windows closed) I had a lot of fun with the tile and stone. This is a unique property and unlike anything you are used to. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did building it. And since it was my primary residence, it is filled with personal property that makes it a home, not just a vacation rental. You will feel the difference. My parents brought me to Colorado for the summers starting when I was 3 months old and I finally moved here in 1990. I worked on the house off and on for 12 years to get it to its present state. I love researching technical manuals and applied a lot of cutting edge techniques to this house. Now that I am working as a financial planner in California, I don't get the time to do as much building as i would like, but i still have the tools!

Why Mike Bryant chose Little Valley

There really is nothing like this in the area. It is unique, but the anal attention to detail is what sets it apart. If you look closely, you will see the effort, from the tile work to the circular stairs, which were made from trees on property I own. It is so quiet and peaceful, yet close to town. And the stars at night! Lots of animals go through the yard, and stop to drink. Can't beat it. The location lured me in. At the time there were only 12 families living in Little Valley and the setting is so nice with the aspen trees and running stream.

What makes this Cabin unique

Close enough to town but isolated among most of the aspen trees in Little Valley the spring fed stream and hillside provides lots of flowers, cover for wildlife, solitude, and awesome sky views at night. Hiking is right out the front door and there is never a day without some kind of wildlife paying a visit. Surround theater with 70" screen and a gym in the lower level makes this the complete retreat after a day of hiking. Sore muscles? Relax in the massage chair and get revitalized! Better beds, better linens, better towels, and a full kitchen just makes a motel room kind of pathetic, doesn't it?
